  • Perfect home for family gatherings!

"This comfortable home served our family well during the week ]of our son's wedding activities in St. Helena. It was spacious inside and out, affordable, homey, near enough to town so you could walk or jog there which we did. The rooms were clean and had ample linens and kitchen equipment. It was mid-July and we had no air conditioning, which worried me, but with fans (I counted 8) and cool nights we were absolutely fine. The 4 bedrooms (2 twin beds, 2 queens, 1 double) and living room couch easily slept the 8-9 of us. Having 2.5 bathrooms was helpful with relatives of all ages staying there. We were attracted to the informality of the home. It is not fancy—not a new kitchen, no modern furniture, not “decorated.” The lovely camp-feel of the living room—with dark wood walls, floor to ceiling fireplace, leather furniture—made us nostalgic for a home in our past. This room easily held about 20 people eating brunch and watching the big screen TV for the World Cup Soccer Championships one morning. The pool was very clean and the owners provided all sorts of pool gear for young and old. We explored the nooks and crannies of the property and think people of all ages would enjoy it although we accompanied the younger kids because we didn’t know what they would find around each corner. The owner's agent was most helpful and responsive before, during and after our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to others. It felt like a well-loved home that had been in the family for a few generations and that they were loaning it to us for our stay and we appreciated the ease of staying here. Things we recommend in St. Helena: Wedding venue/Rust Ridge Ranch, Reception at The Farmstead Restaurant at Long Meadow Ranch, groceries at Sunshine Foods and Safeway, casual dinner at La Condesa downtown, take-out pizza from Tres Vigne, Heaven and Earth beauty parlor, visiting wineries, Charlies BBQ (caterers), Dean and Deluca (caterers), nearby Crane Park (good for large group picnic, for children’s equipment, bocce ball, tennis, Friday Farmer’s Market), hiking at Moore Creek Park. Have fun if you get to stay there and thanks to the owners!"

  • Beautiful, Comfortable Home, Steps Away from EVERYTHING; Warm, Incredibly Helpful and Kind Owners.

"My husband and two children (7 and 8 years) rented this beautiful house with close family friends (children 4 and 5) for a Sonoma wedding during Labor Day weekend. Everything else was booked, or wouldn't allow CHILDREN (they're house trained, for Pete's sake), but we ended up being overjoyed to have landed in our beautiful St. Helena house! The bedrooms are large, with walk-in closets. Plenty of space for two families, including all our wedding gear and kids' swim stuff. Each bedroom has a bathroom ( only one tub, but that was fine because our children are older) - so convenient! The kitchen is VERY well-appointed. There were serving bowls and platters. Pots and pans and serve ware and flatware and a very good sized pantry. There is a laundry room, which would have been amazing if we had stayed longer than 3 nights! The children and the adults also enjoyed an enormous backyard patio, featuring a regal 350 year-old California Oak, and a charming front porch swing that saw a lot of miles that weekend, to the glee of the children. I also feel it's necessary to comment on the warmth and friendliness of the homeowners. The proprietress greeted me when my children and I arrived early on Friday, helped us bring in our many, many groceries, and gave us the tour of the house. She was immediately friendly to me, and lovely and sweet with my children. I felt an immediate connection with her. Afterwards, if I had a question and texted her, she replied immediately, which I found both courteous and professional. Our stay happened to be during the 6.0 earthquake that struck the area at 3:20 am Sunday morning. Both owners (husband and wife) went out of their way to come over with lanterns in their PJs in the middle of the night (the power was off), just to check that we all were ok and the house was intact. Thankfully, other than the power and a few other minor things we all we're well, but their concern was very appreciated. I think the weekend by far surpassed our expectations. I'd love to go back and stay again. It was as comfortable as home, but felt like a vacation considering the comfort and beauty of the house, and the fact that we could walk to St. Helena in minutes for all the beautiful shops and restaurants, the park and downtown. It was absolutely lovely. I'd recommend this home to anyone who wanted to have a relaxing stay in St. Helena with all the comforts of home, and being just steps from wine country."

  • Short Napa Getaway

"We had a wonderful time the Cottage Petite! My husband and I stayed with our 15 month old, my mom and my husbands parents. This was a perfect place to share some really great memories together and my daughter loved running around and having all her grandparents under the same roof, as did we. We did not have a chance to enjoy the hot tub or outdoor areas, which I was bummed about, but we were only there for 2 nights. We must stay longer next time... I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Napa. Great location and lovely home."
