Better Than The Pictures
"This home is a beauty!! It is impeccably decorated and maintained and the gourmet kitchen is equipped more completely than any other rental property I've seen. The location is wonderful for golfing, restaurants and shopping and/or wine tasting. The 3 en-suite king bedrooms were perfect for our party of three couples. We're planning a trip back to the area next year and will definitely stay here!!"

"My wife and I are both retirees and have always enjoyed travelling. We spent August in California to escape the Alabama humidity and to feast on the California food, wine, and vistas. We tend to build our trips around one or more world class events and then branch out from there. For this trip, the central event was the Concours d'Elegance at Monterey on August 16. We stayed August 1-9 in Janet's Adorable Victorian and then August 9-23 at another VRBO property in Monterey. Our grown, married son sneaked away and joined us for 3 days in Napa and 4 in Monterey and he and I were able to play Pebble! We drove up and down Napa and Sonoma valleys, toured Sterling, Cakebread, and the "Castle" wineries, took the Wine Train, attended innumerable tastings, and ate incredible food while in Napa. The Adorable Purple Victorian was the perfect centerpiece for the Napa portion of our trip. We spent wonderful evenings grilling and lounging on the back porch and in the gazebo. We loved the fruit trees and gardens, too. Janet, my biggest logistical problem was that the porch rails are rounded and not suitable for sitting your wine glass or bourbon on while grilling (haha; inside joke). We walked uptown every day to the market (which reminded us a little bit of the market at Harrod's in London), restaurants, and wine tastings. All the locals know the Adorable Purple Victorian and Janet and her husband. Janet's insider tips and wonderful coupons really helped make a great stay even better. We would love to return really soon to the Adorable Purple Victorian or one of Janet's Paris properties."

"This house is so beautiful and it has a million dollar view. The pictures can't capture the amazing view. The moment we opened the front door we knew we had booked the right vacation home for our multi generation family. The front to back foyer had a view of the back that you notice as soon as you walk in. The house was absolutely spotless, well maintained and well equipped. Cleanliness is the most important thing to me when I rent a house and this place was spotless. The house came equipped with just about everything we needed. The pool table was a nice addition that my husband and adult children used. My dad loved everything about the house. The kitchen was big and beautifully updated. We loved the design of the house with the bedrooms separated from the living space. The beds were comfortable. The only thing that I would change is to have a king bed that could be separated into 2 twin beds for adult children or friends that don't want to share a bed. There are 2 large grocery stores within 15 minutes of the house that we bought breakfast food and meats to cook on the barbecue. We loved having our breakfast at the house. We only ate out for lunch everyday and then returned to the house late in the afternoon to enjoy the pool and hot tub. We cooked simple dinners on the great grill every night because once we returned each day we didn't want to leave. The house is located in a residential neighborhood. It is the last house high on a hill at the end of a private way so you don't really see or hear the neighbors. Totally peaceful. It was also a perfect location for visiting wineries. Our favorites were Castello di Amoroso, V. Satuii, St Francis, and Baldacci. It's also not far from San Fransisco, Muir Woods and Stinson Beach. The airport is about 1hr 30 min away depending upon the traffic. Ron was very prompt in replying to any of my questions. I would love to return someday and will definitely recommend this home to friends and family."

"My boyfriend and I booked the house for Labor Day weekend. We selected the house based on many great reviews of previous renters. The house was great! We arrived to find a map of the area which was perfect as I was looking for the local market references in previous reviews. It's a short drive or a 10 min walk to the market/ downtown area. We spent everyday at the market either for coffee/breakfast in the morning, dinner after touring wine country or both. Uber is also highly utilized in the area, with no longer then a 3 min wait for pick up at the house. The home was welcoming with easy to use wi-fi, a great outdoor deck, and two bedrooms. The bathroom even had make up remover packs (which I really appreciated). Previous reviews said you could hear street noise due to location on a main road. Personally, we did not experience any outside noise with the window AC units running. The AC units kept things cool during warm days, and cooler evenings perfectly. We would stay again absolutely! Owners were great to work with, no issues at all!"
