Perfect pied-à-terre with a view
"Sabine and Stephen's place is perfect for anyone wanting to explore Napa Valley but enjoy peace and quiet at the end of a hard day's touring. The one-bedroom apartment above the couple's artist studio is well-appointed and most tastefully decorated. We loved the restrained, comfortable furniture and the original artwork, but mostly the beautiful natural light that floods the apartment by day, the quietness of the neighborhood and the superb view over Napa with regular appearances by deer, wild turkeys and squirrels. The apartment is just minutes away by car from the Oxbow Market and downtown Napa - very handy, and close to the Silverado Trail, the valley's second, quieter, more scenic traffic artery running north-south. Lots of wineries are along the Trail, including Joseph Phelps and Stag's Leap. Sabine and Stephen are both extremely friendly and approachable. I couldn't recommend the place more!"

"My husband and I just returned from visiting Napa and couldn't be happier with the choice we made when it came to where we stayed. The owner was actually outside and greeted us when we arrived. While the apartment is on the smaller size we found it perfect for the 2 of us. It was so close to main street Napa and we were able to walk into town for dinner every night. Would definitely stay there again!!"

"The Villa was the center of my wife's 50th Birthday Party which was PERFECT in every way. The location, amenities and awesome views could not have been better. Working with the owners was a pleasure and I can not wait to do it again. The memories you can create here are timeless."

"The adorable Purple Victorian is a unique property in one of the best Napa locations with amenities that cannot be matched. It is a fully furnished home, in the vacation period style for the most part, with some modern updates that enhance its functionality. We were in residence during the month of August 2014, the month of the Napa earthquake. The house shook like all the others in Napa, but came through it with no significant damage, unlike some other properties where occupants had to evacuate. We were completely unscathed. After 125 years the Purple Victorian appears to have adapted to such events and is a safe haven.
The property has a spacious back yard, with a fabulous gazebo and carriage house, and also many decorative trees and other plantings, including orange, apple and pear trees. Overlooking the back yard is a verandah with chairs, a modern gas grill and an outdoor stove. We found the gazebo and verandah to be our favorite places.
The beds at Purple Vic are excellent. There is a study with Wi-Fi and a desktop computer.
The owners provided us with wine tasting and dining coupons, plus their own extensive review of restaurants in the Napa area. The property is within easy walking distance of everything in downtown Napa. The owners are a delight to work with.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit."
