  • Great Location to Gather with Family and Friends!

"This house was great for our college reunion with close friends. There was ample space with many activities at the house and around the neighborhood. Some of us hung out around the fire pit both in the morning and afternoon. Others went for walks and runs and the rest of us cooked and watched basketball. The kitchen was supplied with many of the basics (spices, olive oil, cream, sugar, coffee) so we didn't have to spend extra on those items. The hot tub was great for evening soaks and fun conversations. The owners were great. Easy to work with and very helpful. It was an easy walk to downtown if you prefer to eat out but the deck and private backyard of the house rivals any ambiance you will find downtown."

  • Pictures do not do Justice!

"My friends and I live all over the US and Canada, and due to a conference in SF, wanted a Sonoma getaway that was close to town, but allowed us quiet time to just hang out together. This was ideal. It has the most amazing location, just an 8 minute drive to downtown Sonoma, but still removed enough that it is surrounded my Sonoma's most breathtaking nature. The house is great, lots of room, great spaces to sit around and chat while sipping wine and playing games, a well stocked kitchen, and the towels and other supplies are all perfectly appointed. We had 10 people, and though that is the near max, there was still so much space. But, what really takes the prize here is the land / the estate. We got there and ran all over looking for the pool. After a few minutes of hiking this amazingly huge back yard that drops to a creek bed, we thought we made a mistake about there being a pool. That was until I did exploring and found the most UNREAL pool complex next door - carved into the hillside, with a vista trail, Jacuzzi, hammocks, tables and chairs, tea light lanterns. It was more spectacular than pictures could show. What a place to spend time. We only were there for a short spell, and now I know why they laughed at us and out 24 hour booking - you'd need way more time to enjoy all the offerings of this lovely home! Looking for quality time with people you love in a place you'll love - this is it. PS: The owner is a great communicator, making everything smooth and stress-free."

  • Overall great house, few downsides

"Overall this house really is very nice. Beds and linens were amazingly comfortable and nice quality, especially for a rental--which for me is hugely important. Backyard/ lanai area was a favorite place to stay; started every morning with coffee and breakfast out there and loved it! Bathrooms were good. Downsides: hot tub is really dated and firepit was unusable. Back screen is completely blown out (metal screen broken) so smoke just went everywhere. Never used it after first try, which BTW, wood is not supplied. As a prior reviewer noted, there are small things in house that could really use attention. The microwave is REALLY old and loud, and there wasn't even salt and pepper in the house. Several other nit-picky things, but agree that furnishings are nice and house was very clean. Plenty of wine glasses :) Last note which was very surprising to us: House is at stop sign on corner of moderately busy street. Could hear cars rev their engines leaving stop sign as early as 4:30, and continued until we woke at 6:30-7:00. Garbage day was the worst! But, overall we enjoyed our ladies wine tasting trip!"

  • Perfect pied-à-terre with a view

"Sabine and Stephen's place is perfect for anyone wanting to explore Napa Valley but enjoy peace and quiet at the end of a hard day's touring. The one-bedroom apartment above the couple's artist studio is well-appointed and most tastefully decorated. We loved the restrained, comfortable furniture and the original artwork, but mostly the beautiful natural light that floods the apartment by day, the quietness of the neighborhood and the superb view over Napa with regular appearances by deer, wild turkeys and squirrels. The apartment is just minutes away by car from the Oxbow Market and downtown Napa - very handy, and close to the Silverado Trail, the valley's second, quieter, more scenic traffic artery running north-south. Lots of wineries are along the Trail, including Joseph Phelps and Stag's Leap. Sabine and Stephen are both extremely friendly and approachable. I couldn't recommend the place more!"
