"Our group of friends has been traveling together for 5 years. This is the first time we have rented a house so we could all stay together and it was great. The location of the property was great for morning walks to town for coffee or evening walks to dinner. Sitting on the front porch each evening with a glass of wine as a group was very special. The staff gave us good information for wineries and local places to eat. We loved the "BLT's" at Cook. The house was beautiful and very relaxing (loved the tubs)! Four couples enjoying a week of summer in country. Nothing Better! The Ramirez Group"Guest: Ramirez Group Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 15, 2014View listing
"We just got back from a week at this property and the location is great as it was extremely central to all of the wineries and restaurants we were visiting, along with being close to some amazing hiking trails! The home was a quick 5 minute drive to St Helena, which is a fabulous town, and short drives to Yountville, Calistoga, and Napa. The property is located off of Silverado trail so did get highway noise. The property was nice - the pool and hot tub were great! The home itself was very airy with lots of natural light and high ceilings. The master bedroom was great, but the 2nd bedroom with queen bed was slightly disappointing in size; as two couples travelling together it would've been nice to have the second bedroom more of a 'master' as well. The home was missing some items that could've really upgraded/made it a fabulous property such as: clothes hangers in the closets, bathroom amenities (hotel style shampoo/body wash), alarm clocks in bedrooms, and tvs in the bedrooms. Overall, however the home was very serene and I would recommend it for a couple looking for a romantic getaway!"Guest: asmith Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 6, 2014View listing
"Wow, what can I say.. what a lovely home and property you have. We loved every minute at your home. You have thought of every single detail needed to stay comfortably. The photos do not do this amazing property justice. It was a dream to wake up to the most beautiful well manicured yard. We hope to stay at your home every year. We had the best time. Thank you again so much, The J family"Guest: lauren j. Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: November 13, 2014View listing
"A nice old Victorian which has clearly been upgraded. Nice quiet street - not a through street which keeps it pretty quiet. We were greeted by a nice bouquet of flowers and bottle of Napa Valley wine on our arrival. There are stairs to go up and down both inside and out, so if you have any disabilities be aware. The location is great. We never used our car to go out to eat in St. Helena. Walked everywhere. And there are lots of very fine restaurants in town. The upstairs is a nice sitting area with fireplace, and the kitchen off to the side. Also, one bedroom with a queen is upstairs along with a bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked and the ice machine works! (some places it doesn't) Also, the wireless system works flawlessly and the user ID and password are displayed for you to use. The bottom floor is a very nice master suite. One room has a nice sofa, coffee table and TV. As you go further, there is a bathroom with tub and shower and the bedroom. One thing that needs attention is the rope rug. About 2-3 inches of the subflooring is exposed between the rug and tiles. Should be covered up. The bedroom holds a queen bed that is very comfortable. French doors exit to a patio and picnic table. I should mention that we survived the big earthquake with no issues so the house has to be built pretty well! This is a comfortable house, centrally located to enjoy the wine country and good food. We stayed for almost 3 weeks and enjoyed it immensely."Guest: Walt Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 11, 2014View listing
