"Our group, 2 couples celebrating 10th and 15th anniversaries, stayed for 2 nights as part of our trip to the Napa area. We loved all the house had to offer, any amenity you can think of was there, including nice touches of wine and candy from Eileen. Eileen was great to work with and so glad we got a chance to meet on the way out of Napa. The pool was a hit after a long, hot day of wine tasting and the grill came in handy for a party one night with old friends. I would highly recommend this property if you want a nice, personal touch to your trip."Guest: Shartzell5 Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 4, 2014View listing
"This comfortable home served our family well during the week ]of our son's wedding activities in St. Helena. It was spacious inside and out, affordable, homey, near enough to town so you could walk or jog there which we did. The rooms were clean and had ample linens and kitchen equipment. It was mid-July and we had no air conditioning, which worried me, but with fans (I counted 8) and cool nights we were absolutely fine. The 4 bedrooms (2 twin beds, 2 queens, 1 double) and living room couch easily slept the 8-9 of us. Having 2.5 bathrooms was helpful with relatives of all ages staying there. We were attracted to the informality of the home. It is not fancy—not a new kitchen, no modern furniture, not “decorated.” The lovely camp-feel of the living room—with dark wood walls, floor to ceiling fireplace, leather furniture—made us nostalgic for a home in our past. This room easily held about 20 people eating brunch and watching the big screen TV for the World Cup Soccer Championships one morning. The pool was very clean and the owners provided all sorts of pool gear for young and old. We explored the nooks and crannies of the property and think people of all ages would enjoy it although we accompanied the younger kids because we didn’t know what they would find around each corner. The owner's agent was most helpful and responsive before, during and after our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to others. It felt like a well-loved home that had been in the family for a few generations and that they were loaning it to us for our stay and we appreciated the ease of staying here. Things we recommend in St. Helena: Wedding venue/Rust Ridge Ranch, Reception at The Farmstead Restaurant at Long Meadow Ranch, groceries at Sunshine Foods and Safeway, casual dinner at La Condesa downtown, take-out pizza from Tres Vigne, Heaven and Earth beauty parlor, visiting wineries, Charlies BBQ (caterers), Dean and Deluca (caterers), nearby Crane Park (good for large group picnic, for children’s equipment, bocce ball, tennis, Friday Farmer’s Market), hiking at Moore Creek Park. Have fun if you get to stay there and thanks to the owners!"Guest: Kim S. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 11, 2014View listing
"My wife and I plus 3 other couples recently spent a week at Estate Above The Clouds. The first words out of my mouth when we arrive was "wow, what a view". The group was together to celebrate my 50th birthday and of course, explore some wineries. We were a little nervous when we first got to the house because it seemed to be remote, but once we started to explore we realized how much there is to see and enjoy right on Spring Mountain - several beautiful wineries and picnic spots are within walking distance. We had a grand time with the Smith brothers, an unbelievable picnic at Pride Mountain, fabulous tours/tastings at Cain and Seven & Eight and several visits to Charbay where we enjoyed hanging out and drinking port with John. We will definitely recommend this house to friends and family who plan to visit Napa or Sonoma."Guest: Steven R. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 22, 2014View listing
"We chose this property for our 20th Anniversary because we were looking for a home with a private pool. This home exceeded our expectations! Ron was perfect--he was very available but never intrusive. We had a fabulous time in the pool and in the hot tub. But what blew us away is the beauty of the view, the absolute privacy, and the incredibly comfortable and well-designed home. This is a special house, spacious and fun, full of spots to enjoy. We will definitely return. We highly recommend this wonderful place."Guest: Heather Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 1, 2014View listing
