"As other reviews have noted, it is a nice spot. The neighborhood is quiet and you can walk to the beach in about 10 minutes by going through the clubhouse parking lot down the street. If you are not from California, remember it's probably too cold and rough to go swimming, even in the summer, but its a lovely place to walk and let your kids play in the sand. There are great hikes a short drive away, you can be at wineries in Sonoma in about 45 minutes, and the town of Bodega Bay is also a short drive away. You might want to get as many groceries as you can before arriving in Bodega Bay as the two grocery stores in town have a limited selection are are pricey (as expected given the size and location of the town). Head to the Fishetarian for some fresh salmon on the grill. Also, bring your sweaters, even in the summer!
As for the house itself, the views are really nice on the deck and from two of the bedrooms, and the size was good for our group (4 adults, 1 teen, 1 kid and 1 toddler). There are 3 bedrooms, one is large and has a queen bed, the other two are smaller and have full size beds. There is also a pull out sofa that we didn't use as it is right in the middle of the shared living room.
There are houses right next door (not shown in the photos), but when we were there, we didn't see anyone in them and it didn't affect our stay or the view. One of the bathrooms is off the master bedroom, but to get to the other, you need to walk through of the other two bedrooms.... keep this in mind if you traveling with another family or friends who want privacy. Both bathrooms have full baths/showers. The fireplace and grill both work and there is wifi. You can fit about 4 people in the hot tub (snugly).
The kitchen is tight but opens up to a dining and living area, which is a nice layout.
The house is pretty well stocked and reasonably up to date for a vacation rental, just keep your expectations in line for the price/location (things are expensive around here) and enjoy the view instead of looking for problems. Several faucets were dripping constantly, which wouldn't be a problem except for the drought we are having (please fix them, owner!) and some light bulbs need to be replaced. Also, when you are parking, watch out for the curb, I scraped the bottom of my car pulling into the driveway the first time. You could fit about 3 cars in the driveway and street parking seemed to be fine too.
Overall, a nice spot!"
