"This home was exactly what we were looking for as a getaway haven at the beach. It was very comfortably furnished, from the bed linens to the kitchen pots and pans. And best of all, the back yard was completely secure for our dog. It's not right on the beach, but there is a view of the bay. And every night we went to sleep to the sound of the fog horn. We stayed five nights and this was a good home base from which to explore the surrounding area. If you are traveling with your dog, don't miss Dillon Beach - about 20 miles south. It's a private beach where dogs can run free! There is a charge for parking. And we found the town of Sebastopol to be very charming. But, back to the house. Janice was a very conscientious host - easy to reach and ready to answer all our questions. We really enjoyed the sun room, as our visit was in early March. If we ever find ourselves back on the Sonoma coast we will definitely try to book this place again."

  • Top notch bodega bay rental

"What a Fantastic Bodega home for a family - Amazing views and perfect location to get to the clubhouse and beach. This Bodega beach house is so well stocked that you feel like you are in your own home with towels, sheets, plates and table linens. They also had many toys for the little kids and a high chair that were invaluable for my sister who brought my 1 year old niece . I have been lucky enough to enjoy Bodega Harbour for many years - and yet the owners were the ones to tell me that there was a new zip lining company the area. I would highly recommend Bodega Bay, and I would highly recommend this home and the hosts!"

  • Overall amazed

"Windsong was a perfect home for my 2 children and I to host Easter dinner for my family in Napa. They loved the space and the kitchen was well equipped to prepare an amazing meal. Plenty of towels for hot tub time also. I loved that the washer and dryer were new and that there was plenty of trash bags.... I would love to stay at windsong again with the Beautiful views and access to the beach within a mile walk give or take."

  • Loved it.

"We very much enjoyed our stay. The place is dripping in history, (creamery in 1890s, prospective bootlegging location in 20s!) Mary Jane and her son in law met us to give us advice and ideas. The place is really right on the water and you have a continuous "show" of fishing boats, birds (Ack! We watched Hitchcock's "The Birds" and tried to scare ourselves), seals, etc., right out the window. We managed to launch kayaks right off the side deck (you have to time the tides,) drove the coast (amazing free beaches great for photography), ate at the harbor, went into Bodega, watched crabbers on Doran beach, etc. It was fun to be there during crab season to see all the activity. The 2 bedroom is plenty roomy enough for my husband and me and our two teenaged daughters. The age of the building gives this a quaint feel with wide stairwell and odd angles to the ceilings. Nice beds, plenty of towels, etc. I would warn anyone staying anywhere in Bodega do not have a "real" grocery store nearby, so getting what you want is higher in price and you may not get the "brand" you love. But it would totally destroy the visit if there was a Raleys or Bel Air! I rate this place a 5. It is not the Ritz, but I don't want to stay at the Ritz. I want to stay in a place where I can relax and enjoy."
