"This was our second stay, and our family hopes to come back again. (Once for a family reunion, and again for a college reunion because it was so much fun the first time!) Beautiful, comfortable, and right on the River! The pictures don't show that it has views from a top master-bedroom balcony, and a HUGE deck on the back of the house. Lots of room for our three-generation family! Beautifully furnished. Lots of ammenities and nice high-end touches like good quality sheets, canoes, outdoor shower, etc., but also loads of comfort and warmth. The dining table seated all 10 of us with room to spare. Nicely situated for wine tasting (we loved westside road) and hikes in Armstrong woods or up Westside road. We had warm days, but a couple chilly nights, so the wood-fired stove was great. (There is CH&A, but the stove was so much more charming.) Rob was super-helpful and gratious with suggestions on places to shop, visit, etc. Even our silliest questions were answered with kindness and good-humor. Forestville is more restful than Guernville, yet more central in many ways. We went to Boon for dinner one night, and into Healdsburg the next. The drive both ways through the winery was lovely. But mostly we stayed put, played games, relaxed and read in the hammocks ... without anything else that would've been plenty. My husband and I have stayed at various places in the RR over the years, and this is now our very favorite."Guest: ArchitectTerry Date of Stay: September 2010 Review Submitted: June 12, 2011View listing
"My husband and I were really pleased with this very clean, beautiful, and well-equipped guest house. We arrived later than we anticipated and the hosts made sure the lights were on for us. The nights were really cool and QUIET. The property is really serene, with lots of flowers and plants in their beautiful garden. You can tell the hosts love their land and take really good care of it. This house was close to wineries, great markets, and Russian River. This was a great respite. I loved the quiet nights, the cool breezes, and the clear night skies (stargazing in the tub is a must). The hosts were very informative about the area and left a very useful info packet for those wanting to explore the area. All in all, it was great few days in a place that had wonderful energy. Enjoy!"Guest: Jena Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 24, 2014View listing
"This house is absolutely wonderful. It has the most beautiful views but is tucked away in the forest for a bit of privacy. We stayed there as a group of artists in town for an dance festival and had the best time. We really loved the spa and swimming pool - salt water was just divine!! We have stayed in a lot of houses over the years and this is the first one that we would love to return to! The booking was super easy with convenient ways to pay. I love that this house has the fee for renter's insurance vs. giving a HUGE deposit - it's a lot easier for us paying as a group. The house is really lovely. Gorgeous furnishings, a beautiful sun room with incredible views. The bedrooms are spacious. Bathrooms aren't large but are very nice and were enough for our big group. We had an issue at the end of the week's stay - we had too much garbage for the bin that was provided. The management company was very helpful and courteous and took care of everything for us. Really wonderful! We look forward to staying there again!"Guest: BB Date of Stay: May 2013 Review Submitted: February 4, 2014View listing
"Everything was as described and worked out great. This property was ideal for the two couples in our group, with two good size bedrooms/baths and nice commons areas for playing cards and movie watching. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking items, and there is a nice grill and a river view from the deck. The owner sent clear information well in advance of our arrival. This property would be especially nice in summer, but was cozy and fun for our visit during cooler weather for the Sonoma Barrel Tasting Weekend. I would recommend."Guest: Susan T.
