  • Our Girl's Weekend Getaway

"A perfect Rustic Getaway with an artistic flair. My friends and I had a fun weekend wine tasting and making home cooked dinners in the Cucina at Cinque Terre. I can't wait to go back for another weekend getaway, this time a romantic weekend with my significant other."

  • Glenellen 2BR House

"The house was roomy, clean, and well furnished. It was also well shaded and cool despite the temperatures being in the high eighties. A bit disconcerting was the fact that VRBO and the owner did not respond to my phone calls or emails to confirm the reservation and provide directions."

  • Incredible Retreat

"We had a wonderful stay at Stonetree. The home is absolutely beautiful with large bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, children’s play area, study with books galore, pool, hot tub, gardens, open indoor/outdoor floor plan, and breathtaking views. The house itself is immaculate and inviting with lots of light and convenience; it’s great for family gatherings and equally great if you have a dog. Jim, the caretaker, is very helpful if you have any questions or issues with the home (e.g. internet connection, hot tub temperature, sound system, etc.), and Caryl, the owner, is a pleasure to work with at all times before, during, and after your stay. The grounds themselves are spectacular, and great hiking is a very short walk from the house: beautiful forest, hills, trees, stream, and a fantastic bonus is that you are only a short hike away from Jack London’s estate, which offers a glimpse into his home and farming life in the early 1900’s. The area itself has nice local restaurants if/when you tire of cooking and of course some great vineyards to visit. All in all, it is hard to beat Stonetree if you are looking to experience a few days living (vs. hoteling) in wine country. We can't wait to return this summer."

  • Beyond expectation

"Our group of four women just spent an amazing three day get away at Deer Hill. The house and property were better than shown in the pictures. There is no way to capture the deer in the yard at dusk or the hot tub secluded at the end of the pool area with nothing around you but beauty. If there was any negative it was only that we wish we had brought our husbands and children as the setting is made for having family fun. We loved the town of Glenn Ellen and had two amazing dinners in town. Would highly recommend Glen Ellen Star and the Fig Cafe. We also had a great lunch at the Glen Ellen Inn. The market is also great and you could easily cook all your meals in this well equipped kitchen. We did do our first dinner in as we just wanted to enjoy the setting. We would love to return with our families in the future as this house is truly meant for kicking back and relaxing as a group."
