  • The best of everything surrounds you!

"We wanted a place where we three adults could get away from it all in a classy, low-key way, taste great and interesting wines, spend time with beautiful nature, exercise, shop, dine well... All in 3 days. This is the place! Glen Ellen's market is perfect for picnics, breakfasts, and meals (if you choose to cook), and surrounding towns and vineyards will totally fill the day. The nearby park/preserve is great for a morning hike or run, and you can not beat a hillside winery for relaxing. There are also good brew pubs and reliable taxi services. To top it off, the Littles are friendly, generous, interesting, informed hosts, (who happen to make excellent wine). They were clearly interested in making our stay a great one. And the pool is fantastic! If you go, prepare for the weather. It was over 100 by midday and then a comfortable 60ish at night. Hope there will be rain in the future... Also prepare for some traffic if you fly into SF. We arrived quite late, but that was OK with the Littles. If you are lucky, you will see the fog lift off of the Golden Gate Bridge as you drive back to the airport - a perfect ending to a special trip!"

  • Absolutely Perfect House for Our Group!!!!!

"We had a group of six heading to California from the East Coast for a few days of wine tasting, and we stumbled across this rental during our lodging search. We could not have made a better choice. First, the location is excellent. The house feels (and is) completely secluded, offering you an escape from the world, and daily encounters with the deer that live around the property. I saw more humming birds than I have ever seen in my life. However, the house is conveniently located near the town of Glen Ellen. Dinning and shopping options are very close by. Further, the owner was always very pleasant and easy to deal with. The house is very comfortably furnished -- you really feel as if you are a guest in a friend's home rather than a short term renter. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, which was great. I would not hesitate to stay here again!"

  • Amazing views with modern luxury

"The views you get from the patio is truly amazing. I could not wait to get out there first thing in the morning to see the fog and clouds over the valley (yes, we were above the clouds), and wait for the gorgeous sunrise. Of course the sunset was equally gorgeous, and we could not stop taking pictures. The house was a true retreat, and perfect for our family to take it slow and relax while visiting a couple wineries a day. Glen Ellen is 10 - 15 min drive from the house and has a great market (with produce and ready made food) and really cute restaurants with a local feel. Kitchen is fully stocked with top grade appliances and tools, and weber grill, so cooking and eating in was a pleasure as well. It is about a 10 min drive up the hill to get to the house, but the roads are absolutely safe (we've driven in much worse in europe), and there's rarely any other cars on the road at the same time. Was not a big deal driving back to the house at night after dinner once you've done the drive in the daylight. You don't get views and privacy like this without that much of a drive up the hill. The house is furnished beautifully and super clean and not cluttered, which is what I always look for in a vacation property as well. My favorite part was the modern, clean bathrooms and the humongous walk in closet! And John was very nice and pleasant and made the process very easy, with clear instructions and guide to the area. Highly recommend this house for exploring sonoma and napa area."

"I have stayed at this house twice now and every time is an amazing experience. The wineries are not too far and once back there is a lake, pool and spa jump in. The property all around is well taken care is definitely the best property I have ever stayed at. I would highly recoommed this estate to anyone and I can't wait to do it again! Thank you Spero :D"
