  • Beautiful location

"We stayed in the house in September 2014. The location and the house are simply magnificent -- even the pictures in the listing don't really do justice to the truly amazing and stunning sweep of Sonoma Valley visible from the deck. The pool is perfect for a quick swim and relaxing. The house is large, so even with 8 people it will feel spacious. Each room is large and each has it's own bathroom. The kitchen is also large enough and laid out so that several people can prepare a meal together, and the large table is great for family-style dining. There is a good solid gas grill on the porch for grilling in the evenings. The house is very comfortable! The location is a good one from which to base your trips around wine country, but the drive up from Glen Ellen is long and twisty enough that you'll probably find you don't want to do it more than is necessary. Parking is tight on the property itself, but the owner makes it clear early in the process that there is only room for 4 cars (and this is true). Indeed, the only negative during our whole stay occurred when there was, in my opinion, an unnecessarily tense moment while the on-site caretaker 'instructed' some of us on how to arrange our 4 cars. Otherwise, though, having the caretaker can be useful -- for instance, he fixed the finicky pool cover when it wouldn't open one morning. Do be aware that the caretaker and other people may be working on the property during the day when you are there. Communication with the owner was excellent -- friendly and professional and prompt at all stages; she also called to make sure we got in OK, and also to explain some things about the pool that weren't in the binder of information about the house (new pool vacuum, don't close the pool cover if it is going to rain, etc.). Highly recommended if you have a good sized group (8 adults is optimal) spending several days in wine country. Excellent base for all your activities."

  • Lovely home in wine country

"We stayed at this lovely home for two nights during the BR Cohn concert and had a fabulous stay. It is nicely decorated and has every amenity needed. The hot tub was like soaking in a warm bath, and the backyard was perfect for hanging out. It was walking distance to town and very quiet at night. Only drawback was the pool was rather cold, but would be refreshing on a 100 degree day. We would definitely like to stay again when we visit wine county."

  • Perfect Weekend in a Beautiful Home

"I couldn't have asked for a better home to stay in during our Girls weekend in Glen Ellen. Dave and Rob do an outstanding job of making you feel warm and welcome from the moment you step in the door. Since I had never been to the area, I had a few questions, and the homeowners made themselves very available for questions both before and during our stay. Everyone in the party was consistently impressed with the comfort, amenities (that kitchen!), and beauty of Wolf Glen. Thank you!"
