"My husband and I shared the charming house and cottage with my 2 college roommates and their husbands for 5 nights as we attended a wedding in Napa.
Both the house and cottage were super clean and were stocked with anything we would need. The BBQ was great to use in preparing dinners and we enjoyed the fire pit afterwards as we sat around it and caught up on almost 40 of our lives since we had lived together. The kitchen was a perfect place to make breakfast, lunches and picnics. We stayed in Glen Ellen for 5 nights and the only meals we ate out were at the wedding dinner and the brunch the following morning.
The town of Glen Ellen is small and quaint and we enjoyed shopping at the Glen Ellen Market and one afternoon enjoyed drinks on the beautiful patio of the Jack London Saloon, both within a few minutes walk.
We couldn't stop talking about how perfect this was for us and how we couldn't wait to return someday. Thank you for providing us with memories not to be forgotten!"

"Imagine that you're sitting with your husband at a lovely small table overlooking a beautiful garden, and there are 7 different species of birds at a bird feeder about 5 feet outside your window. You can also see a beautiful gazebo not far away, surrounded by flowers.
Then for your breakfast, Mary first brings in coffee plus a beautiful crystal goblet filled with fresh berries and topped with cream. The goblet sets upon a floral china plate and to the side is a freshly ironed linen napkin. She leaves you to enjoy it and returns in a little while with heated plates of eggs and sausage, or perhaps an omelette, or cinnamon French toast, whatever gourmet delight you choose to have that day. The setting is beautiful, the food divine. Had we come in the winter, we would have had a fire in the fireplace.
Mary and John offer wonderful advice on the areas vineyards, restaurants, and other attractions. We particularly enjoyed the Jack London State Park and took a wonderful hike through the woods with a park volunteer who told us all about the park and museum."

"We could not have asked for a better experience!
Upon arrival we found this property even more beautiful than we expected. The views from the house, pool, and back deck are amazing. This location is tucked away from neighbors in the hills and offers a great deal of privacy and a much needed feeling of seclusion that made us city folks very happy. We were a group of 12 ladies that we on a social retreat of sorts. The open floor plan of the home worked perfectly for our group and we were not at all discouraged by the lack of doors between rooms. 12 of us slept very comfortably. We enjoyed taking advantage of the large kitchen and the grill and prepared most of our meals on site. Larry was a wonderful and responsive host and everything was exactly as he said it would be.
I would strongly encourage anyone looking for a weekend getaway with friends or family to book this property. We would not hesitate to book this home again if we make it back to the Glen Ellen area."

"Wow! What a magnificent surprise…not only in first impressions, but around each corner of this property. This Deer Hill property perfectly reflects the aura of the surrounding Sonoma Valley. It offers complete serenity and privacy from atop a hill overlooking the beautiful valley, yet, is still just moments away from top-notch wineries. I recommend heading just 10 mins (if that) down the road to Benziger and Imagery wineries, which are both fully biodynamic-functioning properties. So impressive! We loved that wine tasting was so convenient (and delicious), but we actually cut it short because we loved the house so much and wanted to get back to enjoy the pool and its views.
This home offers so much more than described. Between the pool and hot tub, badminton/volleyball court, large lawn and lawn games (all stored at the house), and tether ball, our large group of women found ourselves in a playful slice of heaven. The extensive offerings outside also matched the spacious, comfortable setting inside the home. We were able to easily cook meals in the kitchen and on the BBQ. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking pots, pans, bowls, utensils, plates, glasses, and all of your kitchen needs. For early risers, you'll also appreciate how beautifully different the property can be when the fog hugs the hillside and the deer and turkeys roam the yards.
The owner is very kind and so easy to work with. I cannot wait to have an excuse to plan another getaway to Sonoma. This property was perfect in so many ways and we cannot wait to return!"
