  • Quaint house in the forest

"We had a great time at Bryan and Richard's house in Guerneville. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils, so we cooked most of our meals. The house is really quiet inside and afforded lots of privacy. There was a bottle of wine, some delicious bread and orange juice for us when we arrived, and Bryan and Richard are really friendly. It's a little off the beaten path and feels like it's deep in the forest (and the area is darker for it), but an open window at night allows you sleep to the sound of a creek. Overall it was a really nice experience!"

  • Great location on the river

"My girlfriend and I stayed in this home for the Jazz and Blues festival. It is well located with an awesome view of the beautiful river off the back deck. It's a nice place, old-school but clean and nice. We cooked our breakfasts each morning and found the kitchen well stocked with all the regular stuff needed. Comfortable and clean place that I'd rent again. I'd considered bringing along my canoe since it's right on the river but am glad I didn't as it's quite a steep distance down some shaky steps to be hauling a canoe. We walked into town each day which was fine, but it's along the main road which gets busy so I wouldn't recommend it for folks with small kids."

  • Heavenly Respite from Monotony!

"This house is impeccably maintained with modern appliances and gorgeous wood interior (think modern, tasteful cabin wood). Equally lovely are the multiple decks and sitting areas surrounding the whole house! I followed the sun as I enjoyed coffee in four different sitting areas! I imagine that if I'd been with multiple couples, we all could've had our own private "space," too. Although they have WIFI available and a TV/DVD I never used either once; nature is too lovely. I BBQ'd, kayaked (easy entrance/exit with their little "beach" addition), read a book a day, and drove down the road to get morning coffee and fresh-made baked goods at the little coffee shop in Duncans Mills. It truly is centrally located and you can hop in the car and drive to Guerneville, state parks to hike, or even beaches! I even made it to a winery for a tasting during my exploration. There's something so calming about being right on the water. I returned home feeling refreshed and relaxed! The property is definitely clean and well-maintained and allowed me to feel comfortable immediately. I will definitely return to this location!"

  • Up in the Trees!

"My Wife, our dog and myself made our way up to Guerneville over the weekend and stayed in The Treehouse. We really needed a time away from our jobs and our lives. The Treehouse was perfect! Very minimalist in nature and so snug and inviting, we loved sitting on the deck for our morning breakfast and snuggling together in the cozy sleeping nook. There were only two small problems, otherwise the stay was perfect. First, not much natural sunlight gets through to the house. I know this isn't something correctable as the house sits way up the hill in the middle of big trees. It wasn't necessarily a problem for us but for anyone reading this review I thought the information may be pertinent. Also it would have been nice to have a microwave. Since it isn't our home we aren't privy to a full fridge and pantry of groceries, so we ate out for most meals except breakfast. Now we came hoping to try great food anyways, but the food we couldn't finish we brought back to the house. It was difficult to heat up our leftovers as we had to use the oven. A microwave would just make it a little quicker and easier. Overall our stay was great and we loved every minute of it!"
