  • Tranquility and Peace

"We had a family getaway with 13 folks, and were pleasantly surprised at the openness and spaciousness of the house, and the thoughtfulness of the owners to stock facial tissue (half of us were sick)! We loved the different areas - the air hockey table, pool table and hot tub were quite popular. I especially loved the tranquility and peacefulness every morning watching the fog drift through the trees in the morning while sitting at the dining room table with a large mug of tea. The garden also is very peaceful - as we were there in January, there weren't any fruits or vegetables to be had. All the beds were very comfortable, although the loft area has a sloped ceiling so the older kids (over 5'8" tall) didn't want to sleep there since they'd hit their heads. The owner and manager were excellent to work with, and answered all my emails patiently. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful and comfortable home!"

  • Terrific Getaway!

"By far and away the best rental we've ever stayed in - and we do mean that! Just minutes from central Guerneville, we were given a lovely warm welcome by Bryan and Richard -- shown over the house and hot tub..... with a bottle of wine, a loaf of homemade banana nut bread and some delicious fresh berries to further welcome us! House is almost brand new with attractive, modern kitchen and bathrooms; beds were fabulously comfortable (who can say that about most rentals?) - even a fresh orchid by one bedside; kitchen fully equipped with gorgeous granite countertops; rooms individual heated (so bedrooms can be cooler if you so wish); and, given the time of year, fully decorated for Christmas -- thank you, Richard! Lovely quiet location right on a small river (both bedrooms give out onto a small terrace above the river) -- the younger set loved the hot tub out in the back garden near the river (and the robes provided to guests!). The sound of the river gushing by was peaceful -- though house is so well insulated you can't hear it from indoors and too cold to open French doors! We would love to stay here again -- definitely our go-to home from home in the RR area -- and I look forward to seeing the garden in full bloom! Terrific vacation home -- you won't regret your decision to stay here for a moment!"

  • Great river access

"We had a wonderful weekend away at the Hideaway. The rooms are really small (as pictured), but cozy. The living and dining rooms are large and comfortable - plenty of room to gather. The best part of the house is the dock. It has shade and sun, is located on a great part of the river and was big enough for our group to hang out there all day! Note: bring your own river "gear" (chairs, towels, etc.) as they are not provided with the house. The house also worked well for kids. There was room for them to play on the floor in the house and there was even some kid-friendly dishes/utensils in the well-stocked kitchen. We would definitely come again!"

  • Always Excellent - Never Disappoints!

"This is the 4th time my boyfriend & I have stayed at the Memory Lane house. I LOVE this place! And dealing with Jon is just so darn easy! I love the location of this place - all tucked away in the trees. This is the first time we really didn't do too much of anything - just relaxed at the house. The weather was gorgeous & I spent a lot of time just sitting on deck reading or listening to my ipod. Hearing the music from the Rio Nido Roadhouse is always awesome - make a fire, have a beer & just chill outside. The kitchen is also one of my faves b/c it has everything you could possibly need. We bbq'd a ton, went in the hot tub & played a lot of ping pong! I can't say it enough, this place is WONDERFUL & I hope to come back again."
