  • There's this magical place......shhh don't tell anyone.

"We spent 4 nights at the tree house in August of 2014. We have been to many special places and this is right at the top of our list. Here you are in the redwoods...literally. The cottage is really a series of levels built organically into a steep slope in the redwoods overlooking the Russian River. Sauna, hot tub, beautiful outdoor fireplace, and a magical serene setting. Everywhere you look on the property you see the evidence of the personal artistic and loving touch of the owner. Perfectly, cozy, private, and spectacular."

  • Russian River Vacation Home

"We stayed in this lovely home for a quiet family wine tasting trip in October. It was an excellent home base for touring all of Russian River, Healsburg and Dry Creek. It is walking distance to the little town of Guernville. There is a really good local coffee bakery in town and a couple of good restaurants. The house is right on the river with multiple outdoor decks and gorgeous views. The decks are built around a giant Sequoia tree! It has a beautiful and well appointed kitchen with new appliances. The upstairs family, dining room, kitchen are perfect gathering spot for the family. All the bedrooms and baths are updated with nice bedding and plenty of towels. The house was spotless. We enjoyed this special home so much, we were a little conflicted about being gone all day touring and wine tasting. If you are looking for a someplace away from the Napa/Sonoma scene, this is perfect. Thank you, Karen for letting us enjoy your beautiful home. We look forward to visiting again."

  • Charming cabin in the trees

"My husband and I and our 3 children stayed for 5 days. The cabin is in great shape and very charming with balconies and patios everywhere. We felt as if we were in a treehouse as we sipped coffee in the morning outside in a sea of green. Despite the limited space, there was room for everyone with the bunk room. The cabin has everything we needed for cooking. There is no A/C, but it is not needed. We loved paddling up and down the Russian River in the canoe and kayak. The only minor annoyance was the skylight above our bed...we woke up with the sun! However, this turned out to be a good thing, as we woke up fairly early to natural sunlight and were ready to go. We loved the area, and particularly enjoyed the historical tour at Korbel, along with a day of wine tasting elsewhere. The small town of Geurneville has a hippie, laid back vibe and was well equipped for all our grocery needs as well as dinner out 2 nights. I highly recommend Rio Nido Roadhouse for a burger and beer and a plunge in the pool if the kids should so desire. It is a basic cabin, as advertised, but with tons of charm, very kept up, and lots of great amenities!"

  • Wonderful Rose Cottage

"My daughter and I came to explore the Russian River area and stayed at the Rose Covered Cottage. It was immaculately clean, so cute and set atop a narrow, winding lane very close to the Armstrong Redwood Forest. It's a perfect size for two people and very comfortable. Kathleen has put together a fabulous binder with suggestions for restaurants, activities and especially fantastic hikes. We went on the Shell Beach Hike (3-4 hrs) and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Be sure to eat at Boon Eat & Drink too!"
