  • Great taste of summer!

"Our little family had a wonderful vacation here. The house is wonderful, very clean and neat. All the things you need when away. The deck is amazing. We BBQ'd and enjoyed the evening on the deck. We have a little boy who just started crawling, and I had no problem with him wandering around the house. We hope to come again!"

  • Quintessential Wine Country Retreat

"We had a fantastic girls' weekend at the completely redone cottage. The house was secluded from the main road, yet still within a short 7 minute drive to downtown Healdsburg. With a gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors, comfortable beds and a very stylish decor, we were completely charmed by this place. We will definitely be returning. The spa on the porch at night is a perfect way to end an evening! Highly recommended."

  • Value Vacation Rental

"This vacation rental offers so much - great location, spacious accommodations and lovely outdoor areas. Ramah, the owner, is VERY responsive and quick to reply to any questions or concerns. The home is just as pictured, eclectic and charming much like Guerneville, which we discovered to be funky and arty with very laid back locals who are also extremely welcoming and friendly. Pros: Overall, home is in good repair, clean and has a great location. An hour to the Napa Valley, and 1/2 an hour to the stunning Sonoma Coast, an hour to Point Reyes. Armstrong Woods is amazing and we spent many mornings hiking in the peaceful giant redwoods. Guerneville has incredible restaurants for such a small town - Betty Spaghetti is casual and fun, Boon offers great farm to table dining, Dick Blomsters has Korean fusion and we spent many a morning and lunch hour at the Garden Grill (which is walkable from the house). I highly recommend Andy’s Market in Sebastopol if you want a great selection of organic foods, plus local wines and cheeses. Though I must admit we gave up cooking due to the great dining which is close by. I looked at a lot of properties and this house offers so much bang for the buck, being on the river with many amenities. Beautiful, relaxing yard, many outdoor spaces to relax in and such thoughtful touches such as organic soaps, lotion and shower gel, detailed instructions in the media room, and (thankfully!) labeled light switches. Internet is fast with a strong signal even in the back yard. Cons: Yes, we did find the house fairly noisy - it is almost right on River Road, so there is a lot of traffic. That being said, we were out most days and the traffic diminishes greatly from about 8 pm until around 7 am. We also did have all the windows open as we had unseasonably warm weather. The neighbors are very close by and if they are out in the yard, there is a noise factor as well. Fortunately, they seemed respectful and it began and stopped at a decent hour. We found the dock was lovely but stopped sitting down there as a family of American Otters would leave large "gift packages" overnight. We cleaned the dock area off every morning and soon were turned off about doing any water activities or sitting there. Joel, who runs the home maintenance service, will clean it off if called but we didn't want to bother him every day. We enjoyed the house and would definitely rent again."

  • Quaint Garden Cottage

"What a delightful place to stay! My husband and I went to Healdsburg for the weekend with some friends who were staying in town at a fancy hotel. We decided to save some money and stay at the garden cottage. We are so glad that we did and all of our friends were jealous of our accommodations. The place is very clean with great amenities. The owners take care to make sure it's stocked with essentials from toiletries to coffee and butter. The farm fresh eggs and tomatoes from the garden were a special touch that made us feel like we were living in the country. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in in a long time with extremely comfortable pillows. The grounds are nice and relaxing with gorgeous views of the Russian River valley. We did have to pay $20 for each cab ride to town but found it easy to get cabs to and from town and even with 8 cab rides over the course of a 3 day weekend we ended up paying less than 1/3 of what our friends paid for their hotel room in town. It is very quiet and you don't even see the owners or anyone while you are there. It feels very private. We really enjoyed staying there and have already recommended it to family and friends. Next time we'll return with our kids as the house is stocked full of kids games and toys to keep them entertained. A very nice place to stay and a great value."
