"Such a great place to stay! We stayed four nights during our honeymoon. Right in the middle of beautiful wine country with fabulous views. Breakfast of the best fresh fruit and amazing warm croissants delivered each morning by a cheerful Charlotte or Stan are probably what I'll miss most. You can tell they care about their guests. The bed was very comfortable, the room had everything we needed and the hot tub was a very relaxing way to end our days after visiting wineries close by and dinners in Healdsburg. We even stayed in for dinner one night. Charlotte and Stan are fabulous hosts. We wish we would've had more time to chat and play with the precious pups who greet you upon your return to the farm. Charlotte even mailed me a prescription bottle I left. You won't be disappointed by staying here."Guest: Cristie B. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 19, 2014View listing
"How do I describe this place -- AMAZING! I rented this property for a weekend trip for my company. I was blown away once I started driving closer to the property. There was always this one house I could see amongst the hills of Dry Creek Road that stood above the rest, but I didn't know it was my rental! The road leading up to the house was very secluded. Once atop the hills, there was this beautiful, modern structure in front of me. It was elegant in all its simplicity. It has everything I needed and more. Gorgeous grounds with a pool that sat probably 100 meters from the house, and every bedroom was very private. I couldn't have been more pleased with the space. It was relaxing, yet close enough to all of the wineries to make for a great stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, however I hope this doesn't make it impossible to book in the future. Want to keep my little secret :) Thanks for a great stay!"Guest: Natalie J. "As avid (UK) fans of California generally and repeat visitors to the Sonoma and Napa valleys over the last 10 years or more, I can honestly say that this was THE most wonderful place we have ever visited in this area. For work and for leisure, my husband and I travel extensively and are lucky enough to have stayed at many pretty amazing establishments in Asia, the Americas, Northern and Southern Europe and beyond. Travel and luxury and appreciating our surroundings is "our thing". We would come back and stay in a heartbeat – it would be fair to say that this lovely retreat is quite firmly now in our top 5 list of our most favourite places anywhere! The comments that precede my review echo 100% our own experience. The property is luxurious and so highly equipped, yet feels very homely and relaxing - you will want for nothing (except to stay longer of course!!). We too enjoyed the privacy, the amazing setting, surroundings and breath-taking, changing views and internally, the architecture and design. And, yes you've guessed it, we too cancelled our local dinner reservations in favour of cooking at home because it was just too much to miss to not be there to drink it all in! In terms of the local area, the property is well situated for touring the area and there’s plenty choice when it comes to great wineries and eating opportunities, whether casual or formal dining or food outlets to bring fab food "home" :-) Come once and a) you just won’t want to leave - evidenced by our own decision to extend our stay (thank you Alan - you gave up a night of your birthday celebrations for us which was very generous spirited of you indeed) and b) you'll want to work out when is the soonest you can come back. Alan could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. He greeted us on arrival to show us around and left us some lovely treats of wine and nibbles to get us started on our vacation. An added lovely touch - one of many. I cannot recommend this property and its owner(s) highly enough. Lovely, lovely, lovely - when can we come back please....?"Guest: Family of Four! "My friends and I went to Healdsburg for a wedding and rented Bill and Scott's villa for three nights. While the drive up is a little harrowing, it is well worth it once we arrived. It was such a beautiful and comfortable place. We ate every meal sitting on the deck looking at the amazing views of the surrounding hills and the stars at night. There are also flowers everywhere. The place is clean and modern and has everything you will need. Plus, the hot tub in the back is a major bonus. Scott met with my friend who arrived first and was welcoming and attentive. All three of us would love to go back to the villa. It was that special of an experience."Guest: Nicole R. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 1, 2014View listing
