  • wine weekend

"We rented the house with a group of 12 people for a wine weekend in Sonoma. The house is really nice and the fact that it has 6 separate rooms (no sleeping in the family room) is a big advantage. The availability of the kayaks and canoe are also very nice. We might come back in the future."

  • Perfect Retreat!

"This was my second stay at First Crush (4 long years after the first), and it was just as beautiful and relaxing as I remembered! Perfect for families or couples, it's the quintessential wine country retreat. It's close to each of the key Sonoma valleys, and very centrally located in Dry Creek and an easy 5 minutes into downtown Healdsburg. After a long day of wine tasting it's the perfect place to come back to and relax with a fire in the backyard, sipping the all the day's good finds. So comfortable that it feels like home. I know my family and I will be back for years to come!"

  • Great get-away! COOL when it's HOT!

"Love this place. Easy, clean, comfortable and COOL. Deep in the second(3rd?) growth redwood it stays very cool even when town gets hot. It was over 90 degrees in SF but less than 70 here last weekend!"

"Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful hide-a-way! The moment we entered the gate at the top of the property and made our way down the steps into the secluded and romantic grounds we were hooked! Before we even entered the cottage, we said to each other "we are coming back here again for sure". The multiple outdoor living spaces were so great. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace with a bottle of wine, some snacks and the USC football game on the laptop! The hot-tub was heaven and the back patio inviting and peaceful. We loved all of the "Mexican Yard Art" that was scattered around the property so much that we sleuthed around the area and found the vendor -- we now have the baby brother of your large peacock in our backyard! Such attention to details - all the little touches that made this home so comfortable were much appreciated. Thank you for the electric blanket in the bedroom! The kitchen is well appointed and the unique space delightfully decorated! It was a great way to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary and our transition to an officially "empty nest" as our youngest child went off to college in September. Definitely not for small children as there are many levels and small steps up and down into rooms --- but not a problem for us. Would love to see the "before" and "after" pictures -- the renovation of this property is remarkable -- so charming!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. We have recommended this property to friends and we will definately be back."
