  • Great 1st Anniversary

"We chose to have a quiet get-away for our 1st anniversary. The property turned out to be just what we wanted. Very clean, quiet, well provisioned and comfortable. Right on the river. The deck is terrific and the views are too. We especially enjoyed the glass sun room in the morning and early evening. The kitchen was complete and easy to use and we enjoyed using the new BBQ on the deck one evening. Thanks for letting us stay with you it was great."

  • Great get-away! COOL when it's HOT!

"Love this place. Easy, clean, comfortable and COOL. Deep in the second(3rd?) growth redwood it stays very cool even when town gets hot. It was over 90 degrees in SF but less than 70 here last weekend!"

  • Loved, loved, loved this serene and comfortable cottage!

"My family, consisting of myself, husband and two boys, ages 10 and 15, stayed here in July for a portion of our two week vacation around Northern California and were so pleasantly surprised and happy that we were able to stay in this super cozy vintage cottage! Initially we were a little taken aback by some of the first people we encountered in the area (a woman with tattoos, leather bustier, studded dog collar, and blue hair staying nearby) and later learned that this area is a bit of a haven for people who want to 'drop out' of society but that didn't deter us, and we weren't bothered by anyone so that was a non issue. The long walk up the many stairs also was,at first, a little worrying (I have a bum knee) but that too turned out not to be too much of a problem (having a strapping 15 year old boy to carry bags also helped a lot!). At the end of our stay, none of us wanted to leave! The cottage's decoration was spot on (I'm in the design field) for a 1930's cottage with Pottery Barn colors and quality furniture (especially the super comfortable mattresses...Memory foam) and accessories. High thread count sheets, good down filled pillows, new TV plus sound system with IPod hook up available, the hot tub (which was perfect after a day of activities), small but functional and cute kitchen, great balcony for morning coffee, and the two bathrooms was just perfect for us! Once we had 'moved in' the place had such a great energy! My husband slept in which he never does and even my 10 year old loved the place! It was great having access to the washer-dryer which was downstairs in the laundry room (complete with laundry detergent...I had brought my own but it is good for those who don't). There were also blow up rafts available and a kayak for taking down to the beach down by the river. The price of this place is reasonable as well considering it has two bathrooms, which was such a plus for having our two boys sharing the smaller bedroom. The cottage had everything and anything one could want in vacation rental (I have stayed in many and this one is great!). My only suggestion would be to try to figure out a way to put some screens on the vintage windows and possibly a Phantom screen on the French doors. There were screens in some of the windows and not on others and at night, we had some Mosquitos coming in so we had to keep some windows closed (it was warm during the day and no A/C that we could find). I would highly recommend this rental! Super cozy and clean!"

  • Great location, great owner

"Renting was seamless. The owner was very helpful and accommodating throughout the process. My wife and I have spent a bunch of time in the area, and Mona's location cannot be beat. Rent a bike in Healdsburg for the week, bike (500 yards) to Dry Creek General Store for lunch every day. Also, do the 20 mile loop through the vineyard up to Yoakim Bridge down to Westside Rd. The house is great -- it was the perfect home for our family: well appointed, and very comfortable. The pool and backyard are sublime and watching sunsets on the front porch is the perfect end to every day. Mona is a real gem."
