  • Loved Grandma's House

"We had an amazing time! The house was spotless and had a lot of fun things to do – hot tub, kayaking, board games, pool table, movies, etc. We had a total of ten people staying in the house and had plenty of space. Each room has its own suite so it’s great for multiple families/couples. The kitchen also had condiments and spices which is great when you’re vacationing since you don’t want to have to purchase all that to cook. All bathrooms also had shampoo/soap which is also great so you don’t have to lug it in your suitcase. The laundry room was an added bonus as well, which other houses in the area didn’t seem to have. Another great thing is that the house had a ramp to the front door. My grandpa needs a walker to get around and this made it easier for him instead of having to climb stairs like other homes in the area. We were visiting for a wedding and part of our family stayed at a house down the street, which had a ton of problems and they liked ours so much everyone just came over to hangout the entire weekend! We couldn’t be happier with Grandma’s House! Can’t wait to come back!"

  • You can 'hang your hat' here!

"Our daughter was wed recently in Healdsburg, Ca at the VML winery. Our four other daughters, two grand kids, and son-in-law, came from RI, GA, WA, & OR to share in their sister's joy. We traveled from WA as well. This home would be our "common ground", our home away from home for a few short days. It would become the place where we would catch up, rekindle the family fire, make new memories, and just relax together for our all too short visit to the wine country. It was perfect for us, simple, "down-home country" furnishings, board games to play, thoughtfully placed information on the local wildlife by the owner (who obviously lived their life full of simple pleasures here) country roads to stroll, and plenty of room for everyone to stretch their legs. We did not have time to enjoy the Bocci court, just reflecting together in the hot tub overlooking the peaceful lake, and viewing the neighborhood deer were fulfilling enough. We feel blessed to have found this place, and the owner a pleasure to do business with. We had never rented from VRBO before, and could not believe how effortless the process was. If you want "brand new and modern" don't rent this place. But if you want simplicity, tranquility, a place to relax and to just "be", look them up, you won't be disappointed."

  • Great Place to Stay in Convenient Windsor

"A top notch-place to stay--excellently equipped, clean, very spacious--a fun place for a short or extended visit. Near many of the major wineries, most within 20 minutes, the farthest maybe 30 minutes. Wonderful local views, outside porch for sipping your new-found favorites. Your hosts Ron and Susan are personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. My wife and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you're lucky, you can see hot-air balloons rising over Sonoma on some mornings!"

  • Wonderful property in the heart of the Redwoods on the Russian River

"My husband, my parents and I stayed at Riverwood Cottage for 3 nights over Easter weekend and could easily have extended our stay for another week! The property and the house were beautiful and looked exactly as described in the photos. During the day, there was no end to things to do - hiking in the Redwoods, relaxing by the river, wine and beer tasting and so much more! At the end of the day, it was wonderful to have the option to come back and relax on the enormous deck and cook a meal on the grill or check out one of the lovely restaurants in Sonoma County. A soak in the hot tub, which was surrounded by 3 enormous redwoods, was the perfect way to end each evening! The owners were very kind and responsive and also left a booklet in the house that lists their favorite things to do in the area. Everything they suggested was spot on! Check out the Village Inn restaurant in Monte Rio. You won't be disappointed! I'll definitely be coming back sometime (hopefully soon)!"
