"This home had the most comfortable beds and the sheets were of very good quality. As soon as we settled in, we realized the entire home is decorated in Restoration Hardware and Antiques. Very cozy!!!! The deck in the front was perfect for yoga in the morning and the view on the back porch is phenomenal. We were in the vineyards, full of grapes, yet minutes from Healdsburg."Guest: Linda Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 15, 2014View listing
"Such a great place to stay! We stayed four nights during our honeymoon. Right in the middle of beautiful wine country with fabulous views. Breakfast of the best fresh fruit and amazing warm croissants delivered each morning by a cheerful Charlotte or Stan are probably what I'll miss most. You can tell they care about their guests. The bed was very comfortable, the room had everything we needed and the hot tub was a very relaxing way to end our days after visiting wineries close by and dinners in Healdsburg. We even stayed in for dinner one night. Charlotte and Stan are fabulous hosts. We wish we would've had more time to chat and play with the precious pups who greet you upon your return to the farm. Charlotte even mailed me a prescription bottle I left. You won't be disappointed by staying here."Guest: Cristie B. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 19, 2014View listing
"My husband and I stayed for two nights with friends and enjoyed the close location to the Starlite winery where we had an event. The farmhouse was as advertised and we felt a good value. We were disappointed, however, not to have a comfortable outside eating location that had a view of the surrounding farmland. The backyard table is inside a high backyard fence and the front porch area was too warm in the evening. Also, the steep, wide stairs to the upstairs bedroom would be difficult to navigate for those physically challenged. There is a sturdy handrail, so we didn't have a problem. In all, a charming location, right next to the owner's house."Guest: Stranas Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 19, 2014View listing
"My family, consisting of myself, husband and two boys, ages 10 and 15, stayed here in July for a portion of our two week vacation around Northern California and were so pleasantly surprised and happy that we were able to stay in this super cozy vintage cottage! Initially we were a little taken aback by some of the first people we encountered in the area (a woman with tattoos, leather bustier, studded dog collar, and blue hair staying nearby) and later learned that this area is a bit of a haven for people who want to 'drop out' of society but that didn't deter us, and we weren't bothered by anyone so that was a non issue. The long walk up the many stairs also was,at first, a little worrying (I have a bum knee) but that too turned out not to be too much of a problem (having a strapping 15 year old boy to carry bags also helped a lot!). At the end of our stay, none of us wanted to leave! The cottage's decoration was spot on (I'm in the design field) for a 1930's cottage with Pottery Barn colors and quality furniture (especially the super comfortable mattresses...Memory foam) and accessories. High thread count sheets, good down filled pillows, new TV plus sound system with IPod hook up available, the hot tub (which was perfect after a day of activities), small but functional and cute kitchen, great balcony for morning coffee, and the two bathrooms was just perfect for us! Once we had 'moved in' the place had such a great energy! My husband slept in which he never does and even my 10 year old loved the place! It was great having access to the washer-dryer which was downstairs in the laundry room (complete with laundry detergent...I had brought my own but it is good for those who don't). There were also blow up rafts available and a kayak for taking down to the beach down by the river. The price of this place is reasonable as well considering it has two bathrooms, which was such a plus for having our two boys sharing the smaller bedroom. The cottage had everything and anything one could want in vacation rental (I have stayed in many and this one is great!). My only suggestion would be to try to figure out a way to put some screens on the vintage windows and possibly a Phantom screen on the French doors. There were screens in some of the windows and not on others and at night, we had some Mosquitos coming in so we had to keep some windows closed (it was warm during the day and no A/C that we could find). I would highly recommend this rental! Super cozy and clean!"Guest: madmama Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 11, 2014View listing
