  • Nice Home in the Hill Country

"The home is easily accessible with a great view of the hillside. Ranch style layout with 3 large bedrooms with comfortable beds, large comfortable living room, and newly remodeled kitchen that is well-stocked. We enjoyed making our meals there. Nice sized deck with ample seating. Pool while beautiful is unheated so we were unable to use it. Hot tub would have been great. The bathrooms are a bit dated with well water (sulfur odor as are in mineral springs region). The owners were very helpful and welcoming and we felt very relaxed and comfortable in the home."

  • Wonderful Time

"My daughter and I stayed at the cottage for our 'mother/daughter' week-end in Sonoma and Napa. The cottage is a perfect location for our planned week-end. It is easy to get to both Napa and Sonoma. We especially enjoyed the wild turkeys. We found ourselves trying to make it back before dusk to watch the turkey parade. The turkeys and peacocks seemed to talk to each other. Once the sun went down, there wasn't a peep out of them. The cottage has a feel of 'country' and very private. On our arrival we there were fresh eggs from the chickens in the fridge. I loved seeing the lemon tree -- we don't see those on the East Coast. We had a great time and look forward to coming back."

  • Beautiful and relaxing house with a delightful hostess

"This was our first time to wine country and we selected this beautiful home in Santa Rosa as our place to stay. It was a family vacation, and the home was a perfect size and everyone had their own space. All of the bathrooms even included a lovely fragrance of soap, shampoo and conditioner. The kitchen was also filled with condiments and spices, which was great to already have for cooking. The neighbor behind the home raised chickens and even brought us fresh eggs one morning. It was also fun in the morning to watch the chickens and even peacocks, through the kitchen window, stroll around the neighbors yard. It was a bit chilly at night and the outside backyard had a fireplace, so we built a fire one night! The backyard is very relaxing and peaceful. The outside jacuzzi was also a perfect size and we could all fit in it, and even had nice spa towels to use with it. The home was within walking distance to a great little breakfast spot that had delicious sandwhiches and danishes. There was also a Safeway within walking distance. When booking the home, I had also told the hostess, that we were celebrating my Dad's birthday. When we arrived there was a lovely bottle of wine and a birthday cake with my Dad's name on it! I would highly recommend this home for rental. We all want to go back! Aurora, the hostess, was very attentive to our needs, and all of her special touches were amazing! Thank you for making our vacation extra special!!"

  • Interesting place

"My wife and I stayed here for 3 days in September and found it a somewhat unusual, but interesting place. The unusual is because it is in the country, fairly high up with very little going on around it. We are regular VRBO travelers and this unit is different. It has all the amenities that are listed and it is quite clean. One oddity for us is that the master bedroom is not in the same building as the living room and kitchen. Sure there is a bed in the main building, but it isn't practical for us to have a bed right in the middle of the main room so it seemed pretty obvious to use the "studio" as the main bedroom. That means walking outside when you go between the buildings. The high point was the dog "Din" who seemed to adopt us and hang around whenever we were there."
