  • Unforgettable 1st Cousins Retreat

"Our family has started a tradition of hosting a biennial retreat of all our first cousins. This event is always a great time of laughter, games, music, food, and reminiscent of the wonderful legacy of our grandmother (Nana). This year's retreat was over the top AMAZING! First and foremost, Melanie was a gracious host and VERY accommodating to my husband and I as the host for our group of 12 adults. The Wine Country Escape is an AMAZING home. The pictures on the site, although they are beautiful, don't show the breathtaking beauty, the views, and most importantly the warmth of the home in its entirety. We planned well and bought plenty of food, drink, snacks and PJs, and literally left the estate ONE TIME to attend a group wine tasting event at Kendall Jackson. Although my husband and I live in the South Bay and are blessed to see and appreciate the wonders of our beautiful surroundings, the majority of our family flew in from the east coast. They were in awe of the deer, llamas, fruit trees and gorgeous surroundings up in wine country. The house has literally any and everything you will need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Our family was overjoyed with our time together and are still talking about this amazing place."

  • Oaks at Olivet

"We had a most relaxing weekend at "Rancho Relaxo" and wanted to say thank you. Your cottage there is lovely, comfortable, and more spacious than expected. We slept very well as the beds were very comfortable and all was quiet. Thank you for making up the bed for our son, too. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout, and we enjoyed the artwork and how it was decorated. The plums were delicious, thank you. We enjoyed meeting all your four-legged members (dogs, cats, alpacas, goats). It was truly a pleasure to stay there."

  • Perfect for family

"This is a large, well-appointed house for a family gathering. Spacious yard, large family room with lots of seating, pool table/ping pong table too. Very well stocked kitchen and the owner has left staples like herbs and spices for your use, which is very nice. 3-4 bedrooms - one room is connected to the master bedroom with no door separating the spaces, just a wide, open doorway. There were mattresses for our use on the floor in that space which was fine for kids. Three full bathrooms each with a shower was a very nice feature. There are plenty of linens and towels, nice washer/dryer and other appliances. The caretaker lives on the premises and is there for any questions, and the owner was very responsive via emails and phone calls."

  • Interesting place

"My wife and I stayed here for 3 days in September and found it a somewhat unusual, but interesting place. The unusual is because it is in the country, fairly high up with very little going on around it. We are regular VRBO travelers and this unit is different. It has all the amenities that are listed and it is quite clean. One oddity for us is that the master bedroom is not in the same building as the living room and kitchen. Sure there is a bed in the main building, but it isn't practical for us to have a bed right in the middle of the main room so it seemed pretty obvious to use the "studio" as the main bedroom. That means walking outside when you go between the buildings. The high point was the dog "Din" who seemed to adopt us and hang around whenever we were there."
