The place was amazing!
"We rented this house for the Napa to Sonoma 2015 Half Marathon race. It was the perfect house in the perfect location. It was close to everything and we really loved how well stocked the house was. The beds were really comfortable and the pool/spa was absolutely the highlight. Highly recommend this place! In fact, we recommended it to a few people we met at the race for next year. If we ever return for this race, we'll rent this house again! Thank you!!"

"Our family of five adults attended a wedding in Sonoma and made a one week vacation out of it. It was great and we liked every aspect of the property, amenities and location.
The pluses are so many. We made great use of the bikes and helmets and used them almost every day. The bocce ball court was used well and was great fun after dinner. Speaking of dinner, we used the barbecue and ate outside as often as the temperature allowed us.
As to activities, the picnic on the town square on Tuesday night was great fun. It gives one a good appreciation for the local culture, etc.
We were able to get to quite a number of wineries and many by bike. The local ones near the house that were a real nice surprise, included: Gundlach Bundshu, Ravenswood, Bartholomew and Scribe.
If one is looking for a day trip, we would suggest a ride over to Bodega Bay (1+ hours). We were blessed with being able to see whales! The area is relatively unspoiled and we ate lunch at a local eatery/deli across from the docks that served up incredibly fresh seafood.
The only recommendation is to note that the laundry is not available. For short stays, it is not an issue but for longer stays, there are laundromats in the area.
This is a private and extraordinarily well maintained property. The location is close to town yet far enough removed and very quiet. It is well worth a visit."

"This Sonoma rental was much more than we expected. I definitely give this property 5 stars. Our family met here for my daughter's 30th birthday. We stayed 4 nights. The house was beautiful with a private backyard including a fire pit, small creek and deer. The rooms were spacious and clean. Chantel, the owner, was wonderful. Everything was provided including a lovely basket with goodies and a bottle of wine. I would recommend this rental and will stay here again if we return to Sonoma."

"We rented Helen's Winecountry Hideaway as a base of operations for two couples' sightseeing adventure to Sonoma County. The cottage is even more beautiful and comfortable than we imagined from the pictures, comments, and descriptions. The cottage is very comfortable and we enjoyed all the features including the great garden, fire pit, grill, and the amazing kitchen fitted with high end appliances and utensils. The bedroom and bathrooms are comfortable, quiet, and private making for a fitful resting place after long days of touring. We were pleased to find after a long and trying day of travelling into the area that a grocery store was so close and convenient. Helen clearly cares about this place with a careful attention to detail. She clearly wanted to make our stay to be a great experience and succeeded beyond expectations. This is, clearly, the nicest place we've ever rented through VRBO/HomeAway. We found the place to be a perfect location for touring the overwhelming number of wineries within an hours drive, We also totally enjoyed our trip over to the Sonoma Coast, the beautiful drive up PCH to the mouth of Russian River and then along the river valley and over to the Armstrong Preserve grove of redwoods. What a beautiful area! What beautiful house. We were very sorry when we had to leave this place and move to hotel rooms in San Francisco for the second part of our journey. As much as San Francisco has to offer our stay at this cottage and the surroundings of Sonoma were the highlight of our trip."
