  • Perfect Getaway

"The perfect spot for an easy weekend getaway! My husband and I had an amazing time staying at the Duncan Mills house. The location is great for hiking in the redwoods, spending a day at the beach, or just staying at the house and taking the canoe/kayaks out on the river. The house has everything you need, plus it's only a short walk into the town of Duncan Mills to grab a coffee or dinner. On top of all the other amenities, our dog loved running around the huge fenced in yard. I cannot recommend this place enough!"

  • Worked great for us.

"We were here over Christmas so didn't use any of the river-related amenities. Really liked the big, very well equipped kitchen as we cooked all but a couple of meals. Internet access was quite good, which is not always the case in this area. Only nits were : 1) no place to hang clothes 2) the "master" bedroom in the loft is open to the downstairs save for a screen, so loud when people are talking or watching TV downstairs (and the walk to the bathroom is also visible). We enjoyed the location and overall experience, thought this was a great value, and would not hesitate to rent it again if the need arises. The owner was very attentive and a delight to work with."

  • Great Place and Great Value

"The Cozy Cottage is a very good value, located in a convenient location for sightseeing and wine tasting. The cottage is clean and comfortable with many amenities, even a washer and dryer. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could need. All of the rooms are spacious and not crowded. Outdoor areas were pleasant and private. We found the cottage to be a very enjoyable get away and look forward to staying there again in the future. The owners made us feel very welcome with beautiful soft music playing upon our arrival. The only improvement we recommend is to install a new taller toilet."

  • Girls Trip

"We are a group of friends that have been doing annual trips together for over 30 years. This house was by far the most enjoyable stay we've had. It was so warm and welcoming with a fresh bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us on the dining room table. The kitchen (super clean) was well stocked with plenty of staples and cookware as well as plenty of room for the four of us to maneuver. We wine tasted and shopped during the day and relaxed, wrapped in the cozy throws watching movies and drinking our wine in the evenings. Next time we'll plan a Summer trip and enjoy the outdoor decks and BBQ!"
