"We originally chose this spot for a weekend getaway because of it's proximity to all the things that make Sonoma Valley so great... vineyards, hiking, galleries, close to Carneros, quick hop to Napa, a mile from the Sonoma Square... its really in a great location. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the deck, having a glass of wine in the hot tub after a day of wilderness hiking on Sugarloaf Ridge in Kenwood, and the Sonoma restaurants we tried were fantastic. What we didn't expect was how much we would enjoy just being there. Sitting on the deck in the afternoon was so relaxing that we dialed back our agenda just so we could unplug a little and hang out at the cabin. We topped it off by picking up fresh picked vegetables from the W. Watmaugh farm stand on our way out of town. When people say they'd like to have a cabin in the wine country some day... this is what they mean. We really enjoyed our stay!"

"The property is on a quiet road a short drive or cycle from plenty of vineyards. The property has all the amenities you could wish for. It could do with some modernization but this did not impact our stay at all. I would recommend this for families or a group of adults."

"The property was cozy and private all the while having easy access to the major thoroughfare. Unfortunately, Mary's poor roses were suffering from some gopher gluttony, but the garden and the view were a nice touch for morning coffee and evening wine! Very relaxing and homey, loved the Arts and Crafts accents and the beds were comfy. Mary was extremely personable and very available for any questions or concerns. Penngrove/Petaluma are super cute! Would love to come back with girlfriends (went with husband and a friend for a wedding---just enough room for three)."

"My family stayed at the home while in Sonoma for our son's wedding. The house could not have been more perfect for our needs with great indoor space, lovely places to gather by the pool, and the many outdoor seating areas around the house. Everything was clean, comfortable and in good shape. The rental manager and the homeowner were very helpful in answering my emails ahead of the visit. When we arrived, the AC kept resetting because apparently the renters before us did not know how to work the simple thermostat and had mistakenly set multiple programs on it. The owner and manager were immediately responsive and addressed this small problem right away. I have seen the two reviews before this one and really do not understand what those people are talking about. Although I would agree that the outdoor space has too many levels to make it a good fit or small children. I wish I owned this property! It is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. We all loved the wild turkeys that gathered at the foot of the hill each morning, the deer grazing outside the fence, and the cattle in the field next door. The house is only a short drive to everything local, and also convenient to both the Napa and Sonoma wine regions. We walked to the square one day--while not a really short walk, it was not terribly far, and it was a fun walk. I would love to stay here again and hope to do so!"
