Lovely little cottage in the woods
"While in a residential section, this cute little cottage was a quiet retreat. We meant to wine taste, but I got sick and spent the day in bed. And what a lovely bed it was! Cozy and comfortable. On the corner of the main house property, but very private. While the owners welcome interaction, and according to the wonderful little journal in the room, very helpful with suggestions in exploring the area, we did not get a chance to meet them. I think it would have been a fun interaction. Maybe another time!"

"We needed a quick rental and we were so happy we were able to book Emma's Cottage! We came in a bit late but our host Mark was just gracious showing us around the most adorable cottage! Although we weren't in the cottage as much as we would have liked, there was every amenity we needed! Surround by redwoods, the outdoor smell was intoxicating as was the areas around the cottage. I loved how intimate it was! Do not hesitate to book Emma's cottage! Thanks Mark we had a lovely stay! See you again soon!"

"The road up to the property is really very steep and windy - I'm glad we drove my car up instead of my partners. (I drive a Forester and he drives a Camry). We made it up late afternoon the first weekend of October and found it to be a bit chill inside.
There is a bit of a trick to getting the provided firewood to actually burn at all - don't expect a roaring fire by any means - but once it catches it does a really nice job of heating the overall space. The space heater in the bedroom was also a welcome addition.
The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with a nice assortment of pots, pans, utensils, and basic spices. Made cooking dinner a delightful experience. There was even aluminum foil and tupperware!
The hot tub is super enjoyable but felt a little exposed. The neighbors to the left were a little on the loud conversations outside... side... and that detracted slightly but is by no means on the property owners. (More of a heads up that the hot tub itself is a little more on the public exposure side).
We had a marvelous weekend away celebrating our 3 year anniversary."

"This little gem is hidden away in a quiet neighborhood and will really surprise you when you open the door. The house has been opened up to create an open concept, has 2.5 bathrooms, three bedrooms and a nice shaded backyard ideal for croquet or relaxing on the patio. All the amenities were provided - even a bottle of wine! We were very satisfied with the home. The only downside was a shortage of parking but the street is quiet and allowed us to park right in front of the house. Five adults were very comfortable and would be happy to stay there again."
