  • Gorgeous property and views - amazing for large groups / families

"Our party of 10.5 (newborn in tow) had a wonderful weekend stay at Deer Hill. We were a group of close girlfriends getting together to celebrate a lowkey relaxing bachelorette weekend. I have to say that the photos do NOT do the property justice bc in person, we were blown away. The views from the pool / hot tub area were spectacular and the entire grounds were very well kept and clean. You're literally at the top of a beautiful hill and just surrounded by nature's beauty and serenity. It was very private and relaxing. We were very close to many top Sonoma wineries for our Saturday events and loved our dinner at Glen Ellen's Aventine as well. If you're looking to distance yourself from the touristy / loud scene of Napa, then definitely consider Sonoma as an excellent option. The house itself was very comfortable and had a sweet country chic decor vibe throughout. The kitchen was our main place of gathering (a few of the girls are chefs) so we thoroughly enjoyed making meals there and enjoyed the various patios where we could eat and drink wine. Thank you so much Nancy for a wonderful stay! I will definitely consider your home again if I come back with a group this large. Everyone had so much fun!"

  • Perfect location and cottage rental for a memorable vacation

"Growing up in Guerneville was such a special and magical place to grow up. I wanted to share some of my memories with my husband and children and create some new special memories for them. The River Beach Cottage helped me do that. It was the perfect place to be. Close to everything so you can take beautiful walks and a dock to jump in the river from!! I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay."

  • A local's opinion

"We had reason to stay at this property for two months this winter. The property is very comfortable and quite inviting. It is not ultra impressive in the Ohhhhhhh sense, but is cozy and heart-warming in the ahhhhhhh sense. We would gladly stay here again in the future. The location is quite convenient to the Healdsburg and associated wine regions that surround it. It is located above a main road serving Fitch Mountain, but is sheltered with elevation and a just-right fence that blocks much of the traffic noise without diminishing the views. With a southern exposure, it gets good light throughout the day. The beds, though not kings, were quite comfortable. Andrea, the owner, was always pleasant and very accommodating. Don't expect modern top-of-the-line kitchen or baths, but do expect to feel right at home. Not breath-taking, but stress-taking..."

  • The Perfect weekend Getaway!

"My Friend and I just spent a 3 day day weekend at the beautiful cottage! It could not have been more perfect! The property itself is amazing. The cottage is situated on an acre or so parcel that is shared with the owners. It feels like a private park in the woods. The photos of this cottage are great but there is no way to capture the beauty of this property in photos. The cottage is in perfect condition and every detail has been taken care of by the owners Gar and George. the location is also perfect. We are runners and the cottage is located just .5 miles to the entrance of Armstrong Woods park which is a great place to hike and run. We were able to run to the park from the cottage. It is just a very short drive into town where there are fun restaurants and shops. Of course wine tasting is right around the corner as well. When we arrived the owners greeted us with a glass of wine :) The property manager, Amanda, was extremely responsive and professional. We would VERY highly recommend this cottage and we are already looking for dates to return."
