"Our high school alumni cross country team had a relay race from San Francisco to Calistoga and we needed a place big enough to accommodate 16 of us and also well located. This estate is perfect! There's plenty of room to gather as a group and many quiet and secluded areas if you want a little time on your own. It's conveniently located to Napa, Sonoma and Calistoga if want to do some wine tasting or sightseeing. The owners Chris and Betsy really take care of their house. It's nicely furnished, clean and very well maintained. The gardens are beautiful! The kitchen is fully equipped and had everything we needed. I would definitely come here again and recommend this place to anyone thinking of having a family reunion, retreat or wedding. Thank you."Guest: Graham Date of Stay: September 2013 Review Submitted: October 4, 2013View listing

"We were looking for a nice relaxing location to gather with some friends while enjoying the offerings of the region. We all had a great experience and loved the peaceful tranquility of this property. The bouse was great for 6 adults and the backyard provided everything we were looking for and more. What a great extended weekend we enjoyed visiting some of the wineries by day and relaxing back at the house in the afternoon and evening. The house was equipped to meet all of our needs and Heidi was a breeze to work with in every aspect of the rental."Guest: Wine runner Date of Stay: July 2013 Review Submitted: September 22, 2013View listing
Wine Country Travel Tips
California Wine Country Travel Gives You Access to World-class Wines
Beyond the beaches, if there is one thing for which the state of California is known, it is its wine country. Producing some of the finest wines in the world, the Napa and Sonoma regions of California are often at the top of wine enthusiasts' lists when it comes to California wine country travel. If you are looking for a vacation idea that is unique and different and may also help you learn just a bit more about this interesting industry, then come on over to California. The vineyards are welcoming, the wines are exceptional and the wine country vacation rentals and wine country lodging are simply luxurious.
A Bouquet of Options with California Wine Country Travel
California wine country is well-accustomed to visitors who want to sample their award-winning wines and tour the vineyards. As a result, you will find a host of wine country lodging options to suit your needs. Whether you need space for just one or two people or you are traveling with a larger group, the wine country vacation rentals in the area will meet your needs. After settling into your vacation home, it will be time to do some exploring. The vineyards in wine country range from small family-owned affairs to much larger vineyards. All of them have one thing in common and it is the hospitality they display to visitors. Most are happy to provide tours, offer samples, give lectures about the characteristics of their wines, and offer shops where you can purchase their products to take home.
Wine Country Vacation Rentals Are Your Connection to Fine Wines
When planning California wine country travel, keep in mind that it is a good idea to check with the local vineyards before you leave your wine country lodging. While most vineyards are all too happy to welcome guests, some vineyards have specific times at which they give tours and are not open to the public during other hours.
Experience It All with Wine Country Lodging
While your main interest may lie in touring the wineries and vineyards during your California wine country travel, keep in mind that there are many other sights to explore in the area as well, including fine shopping and dining opportunities not far from wine country vacation rentals.
