  • Great Property for a Couple's Weekend!

"We were a group of 5 couples looking for a sophisticated and fun getaway to the Napa/Sonoma wine country over the Labor Day holiday and finding a place large enough to accommodate us proved fairly difficult, as most properties don't have that many double/queen/king beds, but this place was PERFECT! We felt very safe at the home and since we are in our mid 20's and still like to stay up late and hang out, we felt secluded enough that we wouldn't be a bother to surrounding neighbors with the area's noise curfew. We cooked at the house and everything was in good working order. Bathrooms/bedrooms/common areas were all nice and clean. Lots to do around the property so we wish we had more time to just hang out at the house. Pictures are also very true to the property. I can't really think of one bad thing to say and would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family!"

  • Perfect home for family gatherings!

"This comfortable home served our family well during the week ]of our son's wedding activities in St. Helena. It was spacious inside and out, affordable, homey, near enough to town so you could walk or jog there which we did. The rooms were clean and had ample linens and kitchen equipment. It was mid-July and we had no air conditioning, which worried me, but with fans (I counted 8) and cool nights we were absolutely fine. The 4 bedrooms (2 twin beds, 2 queens, 1 double) and living room couch easily slept the 8-9 of us. Having 2.5 bathrooms was helpful with relatives of all ages staying there. We were attracted to the informality of the home. It is not fancy—not a new kitchen, no modern furniture, not “decorated.” The lovely camp-feel of the living room—with dark wood walls, floor to ceiling fireplace, leather furniture—made us nostalgic for a home in our past. This room easily held about 20 people eating brunch and watching the big screen TV for the World Cup Soccer Championships one morning. The pool was very clean and the owners provided all sorts of pool gear for young and old. We explored the nooks and crannies of the property and think people of all ages would enjoy it although we accompanied the younger kids because we didn’t know what they would find around each corner. The owner's agent was most helpful and responsive before, during and after our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to others. It felt like a well-loved home that had been in the family for a few generations and that they were loaning it to us for our stay and we appreciated the ease of staying here. Things we recommend in St. Helena: Wedding venue/Rust Ridge Ranch, Reception at The Farmstead Restaurant at Long Meadow Ranch, groceries at Sunshine Foods and Safeway, casual dinner at La Condesa downtown, take-out pizza from Tres Vigne, Heaven and Earth beauty parlor, visiting wineries, Charlies BBQ (caterers), Dean and Deluca (caterers), nearby Crane Park (good for large group picnic, for children’s equipment, bocce ball, tennis, Friday Farmer’s Market), hiking at Moore Creek Park. Have fun if you get to stay there and thanks to the owners!"

Wine Country Travel Tips

California Wine Country Travel Gives You Access to World-class Wines

Beyond the beaches, if there is one thing for which the state of California is known, it is its wine country. Producing some of the finest wines in the world, the Napa and Sonoma regions of California are often at the top of wine enthusiasts' lists when it comes to California wine country travel. If you are looking for a vacation idea that is unique and different and may also help you learn just a bit more about this interesting industry, then come on over to California. The vineyards are welcoming, the wines are exceptional and the wine country vacation rentals and wine country lodging are simply luxurious.

A Bouquet of Options with California Wine Country Travel

California wine country is well-accustomed to visitors who want to sample their award-winning wines and tour the vineyards. As a result, you will find a host of wine country lodging options to suit your needs. Whether you need space for just one or two people or you are traveling with a larger group, the wine country vacation rentals in the area will meet your needs. After settling into your vacation home, it will be time to do some exploring. The vineyards in wine country range from small family-owned affairs to much larger vineyards. All of them have one thing in common and it is the hospitality they display to visitors. Most are happy to provide tours, offer samples, give lectures about the characteristics of their wines, and offer shops where you can purchase their products to take home.

Wine Country Vacation Rentals Are Your Connection to Fine Wines

When planning California wine country travel, keep in mind that it is a good idea to check with the local vineyards before you leave your wine country lodging. While most vineyards are all too happy to welcome guests, some vineyards have specific times at which they give tours and are not open to the public during other hours.

Experience It All with Wine Country Lodging

While your main interest may lie in touring the wineries and vineyards during your California wine country travel, keep in mind that there are many other sights to explore in the area as well, including fine shopping and dining opportunities not far from wine country vacation rentals.
