  • Can we give it six stars?

"We've rented on VRBO many times, but this is the first time we've fell compelled to write a review. While other reviews said "the pictures don't do it justice," we didn't know just how true that would be until we arrived. Every room, every view... incredible. Not to mention the deer that constantly rambled casually through the yard, looking at us with mild interest. But truly, the best part of the house may have been Dave, the owner, who was just incredibly gracious. Met us at the house on our arrival to give us a personal walk-through, checked in by text several times during the week to ensure that all was well, and even came by to deliver a fresh Thanksgiving turkey. The house was set up as if we were, not just renters, but family... the attention to detail is throughout and includes a stocked pantry, an abundance of towels everywhere, the most comfortable beds you can imagine, and a kitchen setup that allows you to cook every night if you choose. We felt completely pampered all week! Our group of eight had room to be together or apart as we saw fit. This house is highly recommended and we would absolutely love to visit Ladera house again!"

  • The Perfect weekend Getaway!

"My Friend and I just spent a 3 day day weekend at the beautiful cottage! It could not have been more perfect! The property itself is amazing. The cottage is situated on an acre or so parcel that is shared with the owners. It feels like a private park in the woods. The photos of this cottage are great but there is no way to capture the beauty of this property in photos. The cottage is in perfect condition and every detail has been taken care of by the owners Gar and George. the location is also perfect. We are runners and the cottage is located just .5 miles to the entrance of Armstrong Woods park which is a great place to hike and run. We were able to run to the park from the cottage. It is just a very short drive into town where there are fun restaurants and shops. Of course wine tasting is right around the corner as well. When we arrived the owners greeted us with a glass of wine :) The property manager, Amanda, was extremely responsive and professional. We would VERY highly recommend this cottage and we are already looking for dates to return."

  • Perfect location in Yountville for visiting wineries and enjoying restaurants

"If you are looking for an ideal rental home in the heart of Napa's wine country, look no further. This rental home is only a few blocks from downtown Yountville restaurants and boutique shops. In addition, Jan and her husband did a wonderful job renovating this rental home a few years ago. There was plenty of room for the four of us (with 3 bedrooms & 2 baths). All you need to do is stock the refrigerator and pick up a few bottles of your favorite Napa wine to make the experience complete."

  • Exquisite home for a private family reunion and wedding vows

"I booked this home for my immediate family and a few of our friends to share in private wedding vows overlooking the Andersen Valley area. It could not have been more picturesque / ideal of a location. The home was lovely and the decks / balconies and patio even better. Everyone was impressed and enjoyed the stay. Per location, it's a bit further than we had initially planned for, but nice and tucked away for a very private experience. It is recommended that you drive up in the daytime, since it is a gorgeous drive with view of vineyards and rolling hills-- and will be easier to find. Overall, I was thrilled with the experience but a few recommendations: To guest: the rooms are great but vary greatly in comfort / convenience and size. There is a very small room upstairs without a bathroom or balcony and a less private, but larger room on the first floor. For this reason, be sure to manage guests expectations appropriately and plan ahead so there are no surprises for this coming with you. If possible, If you have a larger group, try to book longer than a weekend so you can take full advantage of what the house is best for-- relaxing and enjoying the view outside. We spent a lot of time settling in and then packing up and I wish I had ore time to do this. To host: there was plenty of dishes and cups, but we also went through a lot of silverware and there was only actual silver silverware which we weren't able to put in the dishwasher so this was not ideal for large dinners... Per directions, provide the address a little earlier so it's clear how far the location is to travel to. We were confused if the home was in Asti or Healdsburg, when in fact, it's in Cloverdale which was further than we planned with family guests who were arriving and we only got the address a day prior to arrival which delayed us all a bit... But again overall, dream stay that I'd love to come back to for longer!"

Wine Country Travel Tips

California Wine Country Travel Gives You Access to World-class Wines

Beyond the beaches, if there is one thing for which the state of California is known, it is its wine country. Producing some of the finest wines in the world, the Napa and Sonoma regions of California are often at the top of wine enthusiasts' lists when it comes to California wine country travel. If you are looking for a vacation idea that is unique and different and may also help you learn just a bit more about this interesting industry, then come on over to California. The vineyards are welcoming, the wines are exceptional and the wine country vacation rentals and wine country lodging are simply luxurious.

A Bouquet of Options with California Wine Country Travel

California wine country is well-accustomed to visitors who want to sample their award-winning wines and tour the vineyards. As a result, you will find a host of wine country lodging options to suit your needs. Whether you need space for just one or two people or you are traveling with a larger group, the wine country vacation rentals in the area will meet your needs. After settling into your vacation home, it will be time to do some exploring. The vineyards in wine country range from small family-owned affairs to much larger vineyards. All of them have one thing in common and it is the hospitality they display to visitors. Most are happy to provide tours, offer samples, give lectures about the characteristics of their wines, and offer shops where you can purchase their products to take home.

Wine Country Vacation Rentals Are Your Connection to Fine Wines

When planning California wine country travel, keep in mind that it is a good idea to check with the local vineyards before you leave your wine country lodging. While most vineyards are all too happy to welcome guests, some vineyards have specific times at which they give tours and are not open to the public during other hours.

Experience It All with Wine Country Lodging

While your main interest may lie in touring the wineries and vineyards during your California wine country travel, keep in mind that there are many other sights to explore in the area as well, including fine shopping and dining opportunities not far from wine country vacation rentals.
