  • Wonderful star viewing & bird watching

"Extremely secluded & quiet. Kitchen is very well equipped & stocked. Wonderful for viewing stars at night, and for bird watching & wildlife viewing. Close to hiking opportunities in the redwoods and along the coast."

  • Far exceeded our expections!

"I could not let another minute pass without writing a review on our experience renting the Terra Meade Country Wine House. Our son was getting married in Sonoma on July 5. I searched through many homes to find one that would accommodate so many family members coming in for the wedding. We had 5 married couples along with a few teenagers. This house far exceeded our expectations. Its got plenty of room to gather together in the large dinning room or if you prefer a quiet secluded spot the lovely grounds await. Fantastic kitchen, and outdoor barbecue and entertaining spaces (rose garden, vineyards, night lit bocce ball court, barn with pool table and sound system. A wonderful saltwater pool that makes your hair and skin feel like silk! The pictures are pretty true to what you will get. The grounds, home and guest cottages were immaculate and the beds very comfortable. I highly recommend this wonderful home. It was close to many vineyards and the town of sonoma is only about 8 minutes away. The owners were very easy to communicate with. We can't wait to return to Terra Meade Country Wine House!"

  • Very spacious

"With four couples, Culture Blend offered plenty of space for us to eat and socialize together as well as to have some private time. We enjoyed the rec room in the basement--some of us hadn't played ping pong or pool in many years. The location was perfect for our wine tasting adventures as well as a drive up the coast. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

  • Excellent value and relaxing stay

"We very much enjoyed our week in Sonoma. I had a professional meeting at the Mission Inn which started every morning between 6:30 and 7:30 am and the location was incredibly convenient with about a two minute walk to the hotel and with excellent coffee at the Barking Dog Roaster on the way. The house was incredibly comfortable and well appointed and we felt the value for the money was excellent as compared to staying in a hotel. We liked the furnishings and layout of the open kitchen living area and especially the covered porch which was relaxing and comfortable. We did have friends and family over at various times and the home was also great for entertaining. We would stay again and appreciate Malcolm's help with details and information."

Wine Country Travel Tips

California Wine Country Travel Gives You Access to World-class Wines

Beyond the beaches, if there is one thing for which the state of California is known, it is its wine country. Producing some of the finest wines in the world, the Napa and Sonoma regions of California are often at the top of wine enthusiasts' lists when it comes to California wine country travel. If you are looking for a vacation idea that is unique and different and may also help you learn just a bit more about this interesting industry, then come on over to California. The vineyards are welcoming, the wines are exceptional and the wine country vacation rentals and wine country lodging are simply luxurious.

A Bouquet of Options with California Wine Country Travel

California wine country is well-accustomed to visitors who want to sample their award-winning wines and tour the vineyards. As a result, you will find a host of wine country lodging options to suit your needs. Whether you need space for just one or two people or you are traveling with a larger group, the wine country vacation rentals in the area will meet your needs. After settling into your vacation home, it will be time to do some exploring. The vineyards in wine country range from small family-owned affairs to much larger vineyards. All of them have one thing in common and it is the hospitality they display to visitors. Most are happy to provide tours, offer samples, give lectures about the characteristics of their wines, and offer shops where you can purchase their products to take home.

Wine Country Vacation Rentals Are Your Connection to Fine Wines

When planning California wine country travel, keep in mind that it is a good idea to check with the local vineyards before you leave your wine country lodging. While most vineyards are all too happy to welcome guests, some vineyards have specific times at which they give tours and are not open to the public during other hours.

Experience It All with Wine Country Lodging

While your main interest may lie in touring the wineries and vineyards during your California wine country travel, keep in mind that there are many other sights to explore in the area as well, including fine shopping and dining opportunities not far from wine country vacation rentals.
