  • A Lovely Home

"We used this home to house our family (8-10 adults and 3 small children) who were in town for a wedding in the Larkspur area. We had a rehearsal dinner at the house the evening before, and the house was perfect for entertaining a large crowd. The owners, Larry and Carol, are very helpful and gave us good directions to the house and close by amenities. They showed us how to work everything in the house and told us to call them if we needed help with anything. The house was very clean and welcoming and so were the owners!! The house looks just like the pictures and is so beautiful. The views are incredible. I wish we could have stayed longer."

  • Great place for a vaca!

"3 friends and I rented this bungalow for a week long mancation and it was perfect. Clean, plenty enough room for 4 adult men to not get in each others way and all the amenities of home. Also loved the fact that there was no TV in the living room. It was nice to just sit around drinking some brews and chatting with my old friends. The TVs were in 1 bedroom and 1 down stairs in the man cave/4th bedroom so you have the opportunity if you wish it just wasnt a focal point of the home. By the end of the second day we were all referring to it as "home". The neighborhood was very nice and had a coffee shop and places to eat within walking distance. I would recommend having a car if you plan to stay for more than 2 days and or wish to go up into the mountains some. It was not too bad of a bus ride or cab fair to go the short distance into downtown but a bit too far to walk. We had several days/nights where 2 of us would take our rental car and go up into the mountains to play disc golf and just enjoy the Rockies and the other 2 would go downtown and hit up some breweries and restaurants. This was home base and made it easy to do things as a group or as individuals. Its about a $70 cab fair (minus the tip) to and from the airport so I would recommend picking up and dropping off your rental at the airport. We had no issues at all with the house and the owners responded quickly when we arrived in town a little earlier than expected. They were great and allowed us to check in early. You also get more bang for your buck when renting this little vacation pad vs renting a hotel room plus the added feature of really settling into the Colorado way of life. I could easily see me,my wife and 10 y/o son renting this place and enjoying it and the surrounding areas just as much."

  • Great stay

"Everything about the place was great. Kim was very welcoming on arrival and gave a really detailed walk through of the property. Everything about the place came as advertised. I had some reservations about the hot tub and pool table ,having been burned in the past with dirty or unusable amenities that were described, but they were everything I could have asked for. On the morning of check in the mountain got dumped with 2 feet of snow. Kim got their drive plowed quickly and cleanly, and kept me posted to their progress the whole time. I really appreciated this as it allowed me to take care of a few things before I drove out there. The house comes stocked with many little things I always forget to pick up when I travel. And the scenery is stunning. The only negative is there was a bit of a drive to many of our planned activities in Denver. However the drive in the mountains is easy, enjoyable, and I would even say fun. I would definitely stay here again."

  • Comfort & convenience in a great location

"We traveled to Denver for a family wedding in early January. A relative suggested staying in LoDo (Lower Downtown) as it is a happening and convenient place. Before booking we considered staying in a hotel. Renting a VRBO, however, was a superior experience over staying in a hotel and a bit less expensive. This was our first VRBO experience and the transaction went well. It was very reassuring to have point person (Carla) who we could call if anything went wrong. Nothing did! The unit was well furnished and comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews, the views of Denver and environs were great (3 different vistas) out huge floor to ceiling windows. Both the bed in the master (king size) and 2nd bedroom (queen) were extremely comfortable. The 3rd sleeping arrangement (pull out sofa) could have been made more comfortable with some type of topper. Another reviewer suggested installing a TV over the fireplace which was installed but was not hooked up. We parked in the building with a rental car which was super convenient and easy. All and all we had a marvelous experience and I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to stay in LoDo for 4 nights or longer. Thank you!"
