  • A truly spectacular find...

"My husband and I booked this house for a relaxing vacation. We couldn't have been happier when we arrived (Rebecca was there to greet us and give a quick tour of the home). The house is fantastic, comfortable and cozy with all the comforts of home. The views of the mountains from the two decks are exquisite. At night, you can soak in the decks's hot tub while watching the moon rise in the distance over the twinkling lights of Denver. The home feels very private, which we enjoyed, even though there are several surrounding homes. Golden, Black Hawk, Kittredge, Evergreen, Boulder, and a bunch charming little towns are a quick car ride away. We loved our time there and highly recommend it for anyone wanting gorgeous views, privacy, comfort and a fantastic central location."

  • Great Cabin

"My friend and I stayed at the cabin. The place was very clean and homely . . . in short, it's a great getaway. I appreciated having the fireplace, which we used all weekend. The kitchen has decent utensils for cooking. No dishwasher. The only negative I would say is that the back patio and front porches are average, and not THAT inviting to hang out. But the inside is very nice and cozy. Owner was also very friendly and helpful."

  • Great Retreat

"We booked this property for the specific reason of getting away and it did not fail to meet our needs. We spent three nights basically doing nothing, watching the snow fall and the beautiful views of the mountains and wildlife. We would certainly considering going back. We went in winter and cannot emphasize enough the need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle- it was a must getting to the cabin. However, even though it cost more to rent one than another type of car, we were directed to excellent rental car options by the owner and frankly, having to utilize a 4x4 to get there made the place feel even more secluded. We were very comfortable there because our objective was relaxation. It was exactly what we were looking for- however if I was looking for a high energy adventure trip this would not be the place.....and that's a compliment to the cabin. Evergreen, CO was about 20-30 min away (in snow, likely shorter in summer) and it's a quaint, lovely town. Check out Creekside Cellars for a more upscale lunch and great wine or for a wonderful quick meal in a place full of locals, check out Wildflower Cafe. Michael, the owner, greeted us there promptly and was available by phone for questions and recommendations - very friendly. We would highly recommend this place for a couple to relax and unwind. Excellent wifi. Adequate kitchenette with all appliances available. You are asked to clean up after yourself with a list of instructions made available- we didn't mind. Much thanks to Michael for plowing the road after the big snowfall!"

  • Old Morrison Jail

""OLD MORRISON JAIL" We stayed at the "Jail" for two months during December 2014/January 2015 and loved every minute of this home and the fantastic weather. Ron and Marta were very accommodating during our visit to make everything as pleasant as possible. The home has everything one would need and plenty of living space to enjoy. We had Christmas here for our sons and families (10 people) and the place comfortably accommodated all. We loved the small mountain town character and walked to the many local restaurants. We took pleasant daily walks to the post office, along Bear Creek and climbed the nearby "mini-mountains". We visited many nearby locations such as: Idaho Springs, Evergreen, Georgetown, Golden, Boulder, Lookout Mountain, Red Rocks Amphitheater, Loveland Ski Resort, the Walker mansion ruins at Mt. Falcon, walked Dinosaur Ridge, Larimer Square, Castle Rock, a Nugget's game and took the Coor's factory tour along with many other adventures. Most of our time was spent with family at various family/school activities and enjoying the fabulous weather. A very relaxing way to spend any part of the year in Colorado. Always sunny in Colorado!"
