  • Homerun!

"This little cottage hits it out of the park. Clean and quiet in a re-emerging part of Denver. Close to all of Denver downtown attractions and Bonnie is the best. Try it...you will like it."

  • Wonderful Cozy Cabin in the Pike

"We had a fabulous week in this lovely, well stocked, centrally located cabin in the woods. The location is perfect for seeing the sights on the eastern range of CO while providing a very relaxing and serene wooded environment to come back to every day. We enjoyed spending time on the decks relaxing, reading and taking in the lovely mountain views. The owners, Deb and Tom, are wonderful hosts and are nearby if you need assistance. The cabin is well stocked with amenities to meet the needs of most guests. A pleasant surprise was the two terry robes waiting for us in the bathroom (the views from the tub are gorgeous!). The cabin is very pet friendly and our golden retriever loved hanging out on the decks too. He actually would wimper every morning to be let out to sit on the deck! I would recommend this cabin to family and friends without hesitation and plan to stay here again when we come back to visit in the future."

  • great condo for a Denver adventure

"We needed to stay in Denver for two weeks for my granddaughter to get treatment at the National Jewish Healthcare, and needed a place for two children and two adults. The access to the river and the mall and easy walking made this a really entertaining spot. We were very comfortble and the landlord was so accommodating and helpful and responsive."

  • Downtown Denver with fantastic views!

"If you want to be in the heart of Downtown Denver, this is the place to stay! Convenient to everything downtown has to offer. Denver Performing Arts is right across the street. 16th St Mall is 2 blocks away. Starbucks is right around the corner! Walking distance to everything…restaurants, book stores, movie theater, souvenir shops, convention center, and local entertainment at the 16th St Mall. Lots of fun! The condo is on the 34th floor and from the balcony you can see the Rocky Mtns and Mile High Stadium. The views of the Rocky Mtns are gorgeous! The condo is perfectly furnished with comfortable furniture, bedding, and a fully furnished kitchen. Granite countertops and the view from the kitchen is amazing. The balcony is a perfect place to start your morning! Best shower head around and a beautifully redone bathroom. There is a pool, a billiard room, a laundry room and access to the attached 7-11 from the first floor. Forget something- no problem. Very clean. Friendly staff. The condo is secure and parking is available to visitors on a first come first serve basis. You don't need a car though as public transportation is readily available. Had a great time and will look to rent this property again on my next visit to Denver. The owner is very accommodating, met us at the condo on our arrival, and helped us get settled. Thanks again Robb!"

Denver Area Travel Tips

Denver Vacation Rentals in a Picturesque Setting

Nicknamed “Mile High City,” Denver is exactly 5,280 feet (1,609 meters) high, making the official elevation one mile above sea level. It was established in 1858 when gold was discovered where the South Platte River and Cherry Creek intersect. Prospectors flooded the area and by 1860, there were 100,000 people in Denver. It is now a thriving urban city with museums, shops and historical architecture, surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains. With its top-notch sports teams and excellent reputation for dining, Denver is a great base for enjoying an action-packed vacation.

What Denver Vacation Homes Have to Offer

Renting a fully furnished apartment or log cabin is the best way for families and couples to enjoy the great outdoor space around Denver. Offering more amenities and space than a typical hotel suite, a vacation home makes a great base for guests to come and go as they please. With a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, family meals can be quickly and easily prepared, making for considerable savings. It also enables guests to fully appreciate the environment and “live like a local,” if only for a week. With plenty of space and comfortable living areas, a Denver vacation home allows everyone to spread out and have their own space, with quiet areas for reading away from the TV.

Best way to Travel to Denver

Denver International Airport is just 19 miles from the center of Denver and has plenty of flights daily from all over the U.S. and internationally. Rent a hire car or 4x4 and your fun Denver vacation is about to begin. For those who prefer to take a road trip, Denver is easy to reach from Interstate 70, 76 or 25. A vehicle is advisable for getting around the area although mountain biking, kayaking and walking are also popular.

Places to Visit Around Denver

The downtown historic district of Denver is known as LoDo (Lower Downtown) and has a wealth of historic buildings and landmarks. It is also a great place for dining. Further afield, the Three Sisters Park at Evergreen is a great place for hiking and mountain biking with spectacular views of the Three Sisters Peaks. One of the most popular areas around Denver is Golden, home to the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave. It now houses Native American artifacts and memorabilia from his Wild West shows. Golden is also the location of the Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum. The Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater has some extraordinary sandstone formations which date back over millions of years. A 1.4-mile trail loops around the area, allowing for the best views. Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison is another unique attraction in an area which is rich in fossils and runs from New Mexico to Canada.

Things to do From Your Denver Lodging

Things to do in and around Denver are almost limitless. Denver has more breweries than any other city in the U.S. so a visit to one of these, coupled with a tasting experience, is a must. The area has many mountain and urban trails for biking and hiking. Shopping, museums, historic attractions and the zoo all make the city area very appealing. Beyond the city, there are hot springs to enjoy, amusement parks, whitewater rafting, train rides, gold mining tours, rock climbing, spelunking (exploring caves), antiquing, sailing, wildlife viewing, bird-watching, fishing, swimming, golf and tennis. During the winter season, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, sledding, snow tubing and ice skiing can be added to the list! There is plenty for all the family to enjoy on a Denver vacation.

Local Weather at Denver Vacation Rentals

Denver enjoys a pleasant semi-arid climate at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Low humidity, moderate temperatures and plenty of sunshine draw visitors all year long. Metro Denver reportedly has 300 sunny days a year. The higher mountains in the area receive a significant amount of snowfall during the winter months.
