  • Great Place to Stay

"My family and I were in Boulder for an extended Labor Day weekend trip to visit my youger daughter and son in law who live in Boulder and to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday. There were five of us who stayed in the house and there was more than enough room for everyone. One feature we really enjoyed was the deck and the private yard with a nice view of the mountains. The house looks exactly like the pictures and was clean and very comfortable. Although we have rented many vacation homes, it has always been through a real estate agent. We have never rented directly from the home owner before so we didn't know what to expect. Grace, the owner of this house, was wonderful to work with and made the whole process of renting the house and checking in and out very easy for us. We would definately recommend this house for anyone traveling with a group and if we travel to Boulder as a family again, will not hesitate to rent it again ourselves."

"There were 3 couples and 2 children in our group. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. Each family had their own bedroom and bath, which gave us privacy; but, it also gave us the opportunity to be together when we wanted to do so. Hotel accommodations are okay, but this was more of a memory maker/family atmosphere. Everything was clean and orderly in the house. The location was really great too. I highly recommend this house for anyone who has a need for accomodations in the Estes park area. You won't be disappointed!"

  • Delightful

"This is the 3rd or 4th timei that I have stayed at the Carriage House and I still think it is my favorite rental in all of Boulder, and I have been going to Boulder for over 20 years. The location is perfect for strolling; the place is clean as a whistle; and the amenities just as described."

  • Perfect for us!

"We use VRBO for our travels whenever possible. Owners and homes vary across the board. We've never had a bad experience. This home in Boulder turned out to be perfect for our needs of the week. Like a couple of others whose reviews are listed, we needed a "grand central" spot during our daughter's wedding week--a place where friends and relatives could drop in for coffee or a glass of wine. The first thing we heard from every visitor was: "Wow!" The home is beautifully built, very well appointed, and first class. The entry is awesome. An uncle from Boston suggested we all buy it to have a place to stay in Boulder. The seating and beds throughout worked perfectly for our handful of nightly guests and for those who visited. There's ample--more than ample room, closets, bathrooms, storage, you name it. Plenty of towels, but plan a trip to replenish paper supplies, etc. The kitchen was perfect as a common gathering place, as was the outdoor deck, the front room, and everywhere else. My husband cooked for the rehearsal dinner, and had plenty of space, platters, and great appliances. The nice part was all of the nooks in which people could sit and visit, take a nap, or read a book. And when we closed the door to the master, we enjoyed a quiet, private oasis. We tend to be very picky. In a home where no one is currently living, like many VRBO homes we use, sometimes the little things need attention. The owner was very responsive to our questions about the house during the week, and during our rental conversations in advance. Even the contractors remodeling two houses next door were quiet, respectful, and kept their "noise" to few daytime hours. We weren't disturbed at all. I highly recommend this home if you need a central, large location in Boulder. This home is worth the money, worked well, and we were very happy with our choice."

Front Range Travel Tips

Colorado’s Front Range, a Great Vacation Destination

The "Front Range" is a colloquial term for the area located just east of the foothills of the Front Range. It covers the areas of Boulder, Black Hawk, Central City, Clear Creek County, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Golden, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Nederland. Situated less than an hour’s drive from Denver and its major airport, you will find yourself in the foothills of the Front Range Mountains. Average temperatures here are in the mid-20s Fahrenheit in winter to the high-80s Fahrenheit in summer.

Getting around this beautiful area could not be easier. Good interstate and main highways make accessing each of the wonderful cities and towns simple and convenient. In fact, there are more scenic and historic drives within easy distance of our Front Range vacation homes than any other state in the country.

An Ideal Outdoor Experience for the Whole Family

For a vacation where outdoor activities and sight-seeing are high on your "to do" list, you will be delighted with a Front Range lodging. Wherever you choose as a base your vacation, you will find plenty to do and see. It is said that the Front Range inspired the words for "America the Beautiful" and once here, you will understand why. To see the panorama that inspired these words, take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. On the trip, you will pass by some of the oldest living things on earth--the bristlecone pines. Some of which are over 2,000 years old! Give the kids a taste of farm life by visiting a real working farm. Or visit the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grasslands for 1.5 million acres of wilderness with activities like horse riding, hiking and biking in summer and snowmobiling in winter.

For less active day trips, there are a variety of wonderful drives. The Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway will not only provide glorious views, it is also one of the best places to catch sight of the local bighorn sheep. The historic Lariet Loop encompasses the stunning Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, the town of Golden--famous for the Coors Brewery--and the sight of the grave of Wild Bill Cody, also known as Buffalo Bill. In Central City, the Victorian age opera house is worth a visit along with the historic Moffat Tunnel. A detour will take you to the ghost towns of Hesse and Apex.

The Majesty of the Mountains

If truly spectacular scenery is a must for your perfect destination, the obvious place to find view after amazing view is the Rocky Mountains. Winter here brings world-famous skiing and the fun continues throughout the year. Whether you want to ride a horse or a bike or just hike, there are an abundance of trails to explore, from easy to death-defying! Just imagine choosing one of our Front Range vacation rentals with the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop!

Pick a Vacation Home on the Front Range

The main reasons why vacationers choose our Front Range vacation homes are convenience, space and choice. We have a wide variety homes in whatever location best suits you, with as much space as you desire. Each home is equipped with everything needed to make the perfect vacation. Property owners are often available to assist with any last minute queries and recommendations. Whether you are a couple, family or large group of friends, there will be a perfect property for your needs. Whether you want a city base or a rural retreat, you will find an ideal home here. What better way to relax after an adventurous day than to return to a comfortable, well-equipped home!
