A great location but I expected a little more... The good and the bad
"If I could I would give this home 3 1/2 stars, but I don't have that option.
This house is in a great location. Convenient to the park, town and many of the better restaurants
The house is spacious
The home is beautifully decorated with great furniture
The property management team was very responsive
Even with all this I will a bit disappointed. With a high end rental I expect the little things to be taken care of and in high quality. I would have liked to give the property 5 stars, but I can't.
There was no cell reception at the house (which is fine, but...). They have a land line in the house for guests to use but you can't call long distance or anyone who does not have a local number without a calling card. This was an annoyance. Since there is no or spotty cell service at the house I wish that there was a phone to use to call my family and friends without the hassle of trying to find/buy a calling card.
I don't watch too much television, especially in a beautiful place like Estes Park, but occasionally after a long day I will watch a football game. There is one very small flat panel (probably 27 inches) in the living room that you must sit at a distance from to watch (Based on room configuration). It was hard to see the small TV from this distance. All the rest of the TV's in the house were even smaller and CRT (You know the old black boxy TV's).
Most of the houses I have rented with a fire place come with a starter set of firewood, so that when you arrive you can have your first fire. This house did not, immediately after I arrived I had to go back out and buy wood to have a fire.
The lighting in the living room was poor making it hard to read at night. They could easily put in brighter lights.
The quality of the extra blankets was very poor, they looked like airplane blankets.
The kitchenware was mismatched and below average. The plates were a plastic. The stove was a very small, poor electric stove. The towels were poor quality, rough and scratchy.
All in all this is a beautiful house in a great location. It has great furniture and is big and spacious. However a lot of the small touches such as TV's, blankets, kitchenware, phone, firewood, etc. are non existent or below average. Not what I expect from a high-end rental."

"Our family came here to spend the New year in Estes Park. The house was spectacular! The view from the deck is out of this world. we saw Deer and elk every day. The inside of the house is very cozy and clean. There is a great game room for the kids and adults. this home sits on a beautiful piece of property. The outdoor hot tub was very relaxing and it even snowed while we were in it(that was a bonus). every bedroom was done in good taste. The reservation staff was friendly and made out choice an easy one. they recommended this home and it was worth it!! We will be back and will recommend it to all of our friends.
Thanks for having this little piece of heaven in Estes Park."

"Stayed a month, but would have stayed forever in this cozy, comfortable place. It is perfectly appointed and offers all the pleasures of home away from home. The owner hasn't forgotten a thing! The pictures are truly authentic. I would return in a heartbeat. Wonderful!!!"
