  • Excellent home with terrific view--warm even with the coldest weather

"Seven women had planned a mini-college reunion in Boulder in November. We hadn't gone to school at CU but thought it would make a great place to re-live our own college days so many years ago! We came from all over the US--New Hampshire, Baltimore, Portland, Seattle, and Albuquerque! In planning, we were worried about the potential for cold/snowy weather, but we could not have anticipated the Polar Vortex which came into Colorado! Nonetheless, the house was toasty with a fabulous gas fireplace that warmed the living room. The bedroom linens were fantastic that made jumping into bed a terrific experience and kept each of us warm in our own beds and rooms. We took walks in nearby Chautauqua Park which was absolutely beautiful in the autumn. Kurt was terrific to deal with, and he met us at the door when he provided an orientation to his many TVs, sound systems and nooks and crannies. His home has many wonderful features including a terrific outdoor seating area. The kitchen and supplies were awesome for the creation of numerous gourmet dinners. From the Master bedroom, there is a great view of the Flat Irons that beg you to visit and stay. The Pearl Street Mall was a bit far to walk in such cold weather, but he provided a treasure trove of Boulder resources that helped us navigate this wonderful, colorful, fantastic college town."

  • Great Place to Stay

"My family and I were in Boulder for an extended Labor Day weekend trip to visit my youger daughter and son in law who live in Boulder and to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday. There were five of us who stayed in the house and there was more than enough room for everyone. One feature we really enjoyed was the deck and the private yard with a nice view of the mountains. The house looks exactly like the pictures and was clean and very comfortable. Although we have rented many vacation homes, it has always been through a real estate agent. We have never rented directly from the home owner before so we didn't know what to expect. Grace, the owner of this house, was wonderful to work with and made the whole process of renting the house and checking in and out very easy for us. We would definately recommend this house for anyone traveling with a group and if we travel to Boulder as a family again, will not hesitate to rent it again ourselves."

  • Perfect for us!

"We use VRBO for our travels whenever possible. Owners and homes vary across the board. We've never had a bad experience. This home in Boulder turned out to be perfect for our needs of the week. Like a couple of others whose reviews are listed, we needed a "grand central" spot during our daughter's wedding week--a place where friends and relatives could drop in for coffee or a glass of wine. The first thing we heard from every visitor was: "Wow!" The home is beautifully built, very well appointed, and first class. The entry is awesome. An uncle from Boston suggested we all buy it to have a place to stay in Boulder. The seating and beds throughout worked perfectly for our handful of nightly guests and for those who visited. There's ample--more than ample room, closets, bathrooms, storage, you name it. Plenty of towels, but plan a trip to replenish paper supplies, etc. The kitchen was perfect as a common gathering place, as was the outdoor deck, the front room, and everywhere else. My husband cooked for the rehearsal dinner, and had plenty of space, platters, and great appliances. The nice part was all of the nooks in which people could sit and visit, take a nap, or read a book. And when we closed the door to the master, we enjoyed a quiet, private oasis. We tend to be very picky. In a home where no one is currently living, like many VRBO homes we use, sometimes the little things need attention. The owner was very responsive to our questions about the house during the week, and during our rental conversations in advance. Even the contractors remodeling two houses next door were quiet, respectful, and kept their "noise" to few daytime hours. We weren't disturbed at all. I highly recommend this home if you need a central, large location in Boulder. This home is worth the money, worked well, and we were very happy with our choice."
