You Can Go Your Own Way at this Rocky Mountain Must - Stay!
"We had a group of 5 stayed at Larry's cabin two nights and were expecting to be able to sit on the deck and hike the woods all day. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time we were there and the fog visibility was about 30 feet. Despite being bummed about the weather, we had an AWESOME time. The feel of his cabin is very cool 70s so we channeled our inner Fleetwood Mac and made up songs with his instruments and walked around draped in blankets drinking coffee and champagne. We set our alarms for 5am to try to spot some morning wildlife but due to the fog, we just watched the mountains drift in and out of view and listened to coyotes howling. The hot tub and grill were lifesavers, as was his collection of board games and jazz music. We wish we could have stayed much longer!
Larry's directions to the cabin are a must-print as they were easy to follow when we lost reception. A beautiful 20 minutes drive into Boulder and so you can raid all the cool coffee shops and used book stores. Loved this place!"

"This cabin was just right. We were about 30 yards from the Big Thompson River and has several very large elk come near! The cabin itself was indeed cozy. Even though the weather was moderate, we have a fire both nights. Estes Park is such a lovely town and we will definitely return. Thank you, Alex, you are a fine host. Scott and Betsy, Denver"

"My husband and I stayed at the carriage house during Christmas week. We were visiting my daughter. It was very clean, comfortable and accessible to shopping. We walked to Trader Joe's and whole foods. I cooked dinner on Christmas Eve for us and had plenty of cookware for an entire Italian dinner. We left on Christmas morning for skiing in Vail and returned the next day. We spent time at a local trail snowshoeing on another morning. I would definitely stay here again. It is clean and modern."

"This cabin is located along one of the most beautiful settings in the Poudre River canyon. My family (6 adults and 2 pre-teens) were very comfortable here the entire week. The owners have put a lot into decorative touches and providing all the comforts of home. We were hoping to "get away" from it all --including the crowds at RMNP--and I think we did really well at this location!
If you are looking for a place near restaurants and shopping, this might not be your first choice, as there are not many options nearby (Ft. Collins is only a 45 min. drive though). However, if you are looking for a perfect mountain escape in a lovely cabin near postcard-type mountains, rivers, and wildlife with easy access to hiking trials, fishing, whitewater rafting, and photography--look no further!
Sitting around the fire pit, roasting marsh mellows in the back yard was a great way to end our evenings after all the adventures of the day. I'm fairly certain that none of us wanted to leave. This is a trip that we would like to repeat for sure!"
