  • What a place!

"I arrived here for the Boulder 70.3 on 6/13. This place was just perfect for me for the weekend. It's super close to both Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, so I didn't have to go out to eat. It's close to pretty much anything you would need. The kitchen was well-stocked, even with spices and olive oil, etc, which you don't always see. The bed was so comfortable and I really liked the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion that were there for my use. I would highly recommend this place for 1-3 people. Loved it!"

  • Cozy, clean mountain house with generous, attentive owner

"We did our homework before booking this house. Read the fairly numerous good reviews and studied the profile carefully. To our satisfaction, the reviews were spot on, and the description was as well! The house is very roomy and clean. Nothing fancy...but who needs fancy when you are staying in the rustic mountains? The large deck that surrounds almost the entire house is great. Not to mention the very large hot tub, which our kids especially (surprise!) enjoyed! The drive up to the house is nice because towards the end, the paved road turns into a dirt one...to us making it all the more "mountain-y" feeling, lol! When driving up to this house, make sure you do not take the first dirt driveway up to the house, (like we did), but the second one, which goes around to the front of the house. The first driveway is for the caretaker that lives on the bottom level of the house. We were just a teeny weeny uncomfortable with having a stranger living in the same house (although his quarters are blocked from the rest of the house on the inside), but the man living there seemed pretty nice, and was only there in the evenings. He does seem to take care of the property, and is there to fix anything that might need attention...although everything was working pretty well during our stay. We did mention to the owner that the dryer did not dry the clothes all the way, so he is looking into that. This house had everything we needed (and wanted) to have a nice, relaxing, family time just outside of Boulder....with beautiful views of the mountains from the front of the house! We would definitely go back!!"

  • If I could give it a 6th star, I would

"My family and I had a wonderful week at Jay's place in downtown Boulder. I won't get into how wonderful Boulder is, b/c if you're reading these reviews you should already be familiar. But, Jay's place is a wonderful place in a great part of Boulder. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, and you're only a couple of blocks (re: very short walk) away from Pearl Street. My family and I walked down to Pearl Street daily. Jay was very friendly and amazingly easy to deal with during the rental process. I didn't have any doubt that if we needed anything, he could make it work: he even managed to swing us a pack-and-play for our second youngster. The views from the house are amazing, and the house was immaculate and cozy and contemporary all at the same time. We had an amazing time, and if/when we go back to Boulder again (go Buffs), we're definitely going to look here before anywhere else."
