  • Great Cabin

"Four of us stayed here for a glorious weekend in late September. Everything was just right. Truly a wonderful cabin with all amenities, view, and comfort. Very homey with many interesting wall pieces and antique collectibles. Quite a drive up to the house but the stunning Aspens and views along the way made it thoroughly enjoyable. Great spot for a remote mountain getaway. Would stay here again."

  • Excellent:)

"This was my second stay at Larry's cottage in 24 months. It is a very clean and very comfortable place to stay. On the quiet end of town, but only 2 1/2 short blocks from downtown. As my friend put it..."it's like being in a friends home". Highly recommended."

  • Away From It All!

"Excellent location to forget about your everyday life! Very peaceful and relaxing for all ages. Property is perfect for family hikes down to the creek, exploring and collecting pine cones. Fire pit in backyard helped us to make the perfect s'mores! House was well furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a pleasurable stay. Quick drive up the road to breath taking views of Echo Lake and Mt. Evans. Would love to return in warmer weather to explore this location further. Highly recommended property for a family vacation."

  • Beautiful, cozy, cabin!

"This was wonderful! 3 couples stayed here for the weekend of the Slacker 1/2 marathon in Georgetown. It was perfect. Front porch, back deck, creek in front, hiking trail in back. Inside was very clean and had all the conveniences of home. The master bed was divine! Can't wait to book it for next year!!!!"

Idaho Springs Travel Tips

Idaho Springs Vacation Rentals Are New and Original

Vacationing has become such a big industry than it feels more like a people-mill than a ritual for renewing life, both within ourselves and our closest relationships. Tacky bars and endless souvenir shops selling the same junk seem to be planted in every tourist trap—and trap you they do. Being shuffled around, hot, sticky, and crowded next to strangers as though you're only a number is not the way to treat yourself and your loved ones. But because you are only a number to most vacation plans, you will inevitably be treated that way. If you want a new kind of vacation, one that has more to offer than all of the other unoriginal destinations, you do not want to over-look Idaho Springs, Colorado. It is a beautiful, small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains and only about 30 miles away from the vibrant and unique city of Denver!

Idaho Springs Is an Idyllic Destination

Idaho Springs, Colorado began as a gold rush mining town and you can see the historical influence of the town's founding period. The streets are lined just as it looked back in the time of the gold rush, with picturesque shops all in a row; beautifully maintained and tastefully updated. The gorgeous Rocky Mountains surge upward behind the buildings, creating a perfectly composed view wherever you stand (great for pictures with loved ones). Being so close to Denver, you also have the exciting options that Denver has to offer as well.

Front Range Vacation Homes Are the Best Option

One last tip: When you travel to Idaho Springs, stay in Idaho Springs vacation rentals like the ones on You'll be far more comfortable than in a dingy motel and you can choose which amenities and what size of Idaho Springs lodging you want.
