  • What a Great Property

"My wife and I stayed in this property for 6 days on a recent business trip to the area. We stay in VRBO properties frequently and this one is definitely better than most. The kitchen is one of the best I have ever used. Fully outfitted with almost any gadget you might want. There is also a full sized washer and dryer available. The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. I really enjoyed the artwork with its old West themes. The views from every room are fantastic. During our visit it snowed and the temperatures dropped to below zero so we really didn't get to enjoy the many outdoor areas as much as you would in more temperate weather. We did make good use of the wood burning stove and ample firewood. I would recommend that you bring an ax if possible as the wood was all too large for starting a fire. The wood stove worked great. Also, the roads were kept clear throughout our visit as well. The Internet was basic DSL and easy to use with all our devices. (iPhones, iPads, laptops) The bandwidth was enough for email and basic web browsing. Our cell service (AT&T) dropped out about 0.5 miles from the cabin, but the land line with its many cordless phones made it possible to keep in touch when necessary. We enjoyed the break from continuous contact. We were able to text easily using the Internet Wi-Fi connection, so sending the land line phone number was easy if you wanted someone to call. There are plenty of good restaurants and grocery stores in Idaho Springs which is just 2.5 miles away. They also have several interesting museums and shops in the historic district. Plan to spend at least a few hours exploring this quaint town where they boast the Colorado Gold Rush began. We will definitely stay here on future visits to the area. Its convenient location and wonderful amenities made this a very memorable visit."

  • Absolutely stunning home

"A group of about a dozen more than comfortably stayed at the Invincible Lodge in mid-May. As in the title, this home is absolutely stunning. From the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room with the more-than-vaulted ceilings, to the chef's kitchen, to the fireplaces, entertainment center, radiant heat, and hot tub - this place has it all. Easy for us to get into and around Idaho Springs, and into Denver one night. We hope to be back."

"House is very "homey"! Nice to park directly in front of house and short walk to the downtown shopping area. Our dog found his "sleeping place" the first night and went to same place every night. TV was great with many is very warm so no cold days here. It is stocked with anything one needs which was great. One suggestion only...a nightlight in bathroom would help "older visitors". Hope to stay again..don't miss out on this one!"

  • Away From It All!

"Excellent location to forget about your everyday life! Very peaceful and relaxing for all ages. Property is perfect for family hikes down to the creek, exploring and collecting pine cones. Fire pit in backyard helped us to make the perfect s'mores! House was well furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a pleasurable stay. Quick drive up the road to breath taking views of Echo Lake and Mt. Evans. Would love to return in warmer weather to explore this location further. Highly recommended property for a family vacation."
