  • Away From It All!

"Excellent location to forget about your everyday life! Very peaceful and relaxing for all ages. Property is perfect for family hikes down to the creek, exploring and collecting pine cones. Fire pit in backyard helped us to make the perfect s'mores! House was well furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a pleasurable stay. Quick drive up the road to breath taking views of Echo Lake and Mt. Evans. Would love to return in warmer weather to explore this location further. Highly recommended property for a family vacation."

  • We loved our stay!

"My husband and I rented the Bear Paw cabin for two nights and it was the perfect little place to spend our time in the Rocky Mountains. Minutes away from Estes Park and very close to the RMNP entrance. We were very happy with the location and loved the view of the Big Thompson River. My husband did the guided fishing tour with Kirk's Fly Shop and caught 25 trout!! It was a bucket list experience! We also had a fun time at the Stanley Hotel on the Ghost Tour with Scary Mary! The cabin is as advertised. You get what you see. Definitely worth the price! Conny was so accommodating and understanding with everything. She was very prompt with her emails and couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Colorado and hope to return soon!"

  • Quiet and peaceful

"What a great place to have a honeymoon! We were there about 15 minutes when we saw two elk walk thru the back yard. The next day we were greeted by a black bear and the rest of the week is was not uncommon to have deer in the yard! With no cable TV it gave us time to put the real world behind us. We highly recommend anyone to stay here. There are no pictures of the bathroom and there should be, it was very nice as was the rest of the house. We hope to stay here again."

  • Perfect 40th Anniversary!

"The 1st-floor-only option was the most enjoyable vacation lodging we've ever had. We'd go back in a heartbeat. It was a 40th wedding anniversary for us, and the house was so just right. It's a combination of peaceful privacy and close-to-everything location that we wouldn't have found in a commercial property. We won't forget: 1. Morning tea on the sun porch gazing up at Lumpy Ridge. 2. How clean and fresh everything was! We were completely at ease here, even stretched out on the floor by the fireplace. 3. The luxurious, spotless, spacious ceramic-tile shower. 4. Most impressive, to me, was the cleverness with which the re-design of this old worker's cottage has been carried out. It must have taken months of thought. Examples: You unload the dishwasher just inches from the plate-storage drawer. Photos in each drawer show you where things go. And I still can't figure out how they changed the original floor plan to make the small kitchen and dining room seem airy and spacious. All these make a vacation less work and more fun. 5. Strolling down to Lake Estes in the evening. Estes Park itself did not disappoint. We especially loved the river walk and the Rocky Mountain Nature Association's informative and breath-taking tour over the Trail Ridge Road. This is not Kansas, Toto! And the manager and husband are surely among the most enjoyable people in town. No regrets. We loved it."
