"This week has been a wonderful and beautiful vacation for my husband and I. Your cabin is wonderful. We spent many evenings on your deck, talking and re-living our days adventure. Thank you so much !!"

  • Wedding Stay

"We had 7 family members staying at this cabin for a Wedding and Reception. The cabin is an excellent location. We had the wedding in Allenspark and the reception by Mary's Lake. We were able to walk around Estes Park. We did a driving tour of Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin is homey and with individual heat in each room everyone was comfortable. We woke up to 6" of snow on Sunday Morning. This was not much of a problem because Fish Creek road was plowed twice that morning. Overall, the cabin provided a nice location to tour the area."

  • Location, Location, Location!

"House on the Rocks is in a perfect place. The house is close to town but not right in the fray. It's close to the National Park but not on the main drag. It has a breathtaking view but there are no mountain roads to climb. It is in a neighborhood but the neighbors aren't right on top of you. The house is older in an established neighborhood just a stone's throw from Estes Park and RMNP. The rooms are large and everything was very clean when we arrived. The laundry area is very nice and the 2 women who stayed on the top floor (our sisters) were delighted to find a laundry chute so they didn't have to come downstairs to drop off their dirty clothes. We didn't use the washer and dryer much but, when we did, laundry detergent was supplied. Nice for us so that we didn't have to buy it and then leave it when we flew home. There is an iron and ironing board, too! I used them and was glad they are there. The bathrooms are older but I love the tan colored tub, sink and toilet. My husband and I were in the basement bedroom and used the downstairs bathroom. The shower in that bathroom is amazing! Plenty of lovely hot water and tremendous water pressure. The house is equipped with huge fluffy towels too! The kitchen is well equipped but we didn't use it much. We cooked a few meals but mostly ate out or packed picnic lunches to eat while we explored. We were thankful for the coffee maker and for the dishwasher. The bedrooms are quite large with lots of closet space and chest of drawers for all belongings. I had a little trouble finding a bed that was comfortable for me and my husband together. On the third night one of the sisters discovered a foam mattress cover in her closet and we put that on our bed. After that I slept like a rock. The living area is very large with a big fireplace and three sofas. We rearranged the furniture a bit (fixed it before we left) so that the 2 largest sofas faced the TV. The living room area includes the dining room table. It easily seats 6 people and has a gorgeous view. The view . . . STUPENDOUS! It changes constantly and is always stunning. There is a very large deck that we used often, especially as the sun rose and set. We were there during the elk rut and could listen to elk bugling in the distance. The stars are amazing and, on a clear night you can see the Milky Way. House on the Rocks is not fancy but it's wonderful. We would love to stay here again. It is so quiet and in such a beautiful spot."
