  • Rustic Charm

"Six of us enjoyed our stay at the cabin from 8/6 to 8/13. Looking at the pictures, we were a little concerned it might be a tad small for two senior citizens, two adults and two five-year-olds to cohabitate comfortably for a week, but the price was right, and besides, I had read in other reviews that the pictures do not do the place justice, so we took a chance. After seeing it in person, I think the photographer might have used whatever the opposite of a fisheye lens is. The cabin is listed as having two bedrooms, but the sun room can be, and was, claimed as a third by my boys, and they loved it. They got to see the supermoon shining through the wall of windows in “their” bedroom. (There are windows everywhere in that cabin.) The patio and two of the bedrooms sit right on the river. There is nothing quite like sleeping to the sound of that river! My mom, an incurable insomniac, says she slept the best she has ever slept in her life. The property managers were very quick to respond to our request for propane. The kitchen is well stocked. The location is perfect. It is secluded enough, yet minutes from everything. We were visited by a deer that dined right outside the picture window that overlooks the river and a badger that played hide and seek in the tall grass (apparently few in Estes Park mow, better to attract the wildlife I guess); we saw several magpies, hummingbirds and some giant, weird looking flying insect that I still cannot identify. The cabin is lacking in certain modern amenities like a flat screen/digital TV (it’s got an old tube), a dishwasher and laundry but that was okay (and made even more okay by the Wi-Fi it does have). The Laundromat is a quarter of a mile away and in the same building as a grocery store and gift shop. I don’t usually get to shop while I’m doing laundry, so I was happy. For the first few days we were there, we were cussing what appeared to be a fairly new oven because nothing was cooking right. We’re from Oklahoma. We don’t have to adjust cooking temps for altitude. So if you can remember to do that, the oven works great. The only change I would make would be to add another chair, either to the table or to another part of the cabin. The table only seats four. There is another chair in the living room that can be moved to the dining room, but that still left one person standing to eat. I might also update the TV. And get sharper knives. We really loved that cabin."

  • Heaven in Boulder

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Boulder so much. From the 1st email to the deposit return, Tom and Sheryl made our stay so easy. Upon arriving in the unit we were so impressed. The condo was immaculate and beautifully furnished. We loved the wood floors. The vistas from the unit are incredible. Every morning we would catch the sunrise and couldn't wait to see the sunset. We loved being surrounded by the mountains. The location of this unit was perfect. 5 minutes across the park and we could get a great cup of java and be hiking on the hiking trails. We hiked as many trails as we could in our month's visit. As we are swimmers, we went to the north rec center which for a $7 daily charge was so convenient about a 5 min drive. This location was perfect for all of our day trips. We went to Denver a number of times and was lucky enough to catch the Chihuly exhibit at the Botanical Gardens. I must mention the food and restaurants. If you are a foodie, there are so many good and great restaurants to choose from. If you are vegan eating out organically is so easy. Tom and Sheryl, we loved being a guest in your lovely home. We have only been gone a week and already we miss being in the mountains. Hope to return real soon."

  • One of a kind!

"This property is absolutely gorgeous!! We loved it and appreciated all the amenities it had to offer. As we first came into the house we were stunned - one room was prettier than the next! The artwork is unique and the decor is beautiful. There is space to spread out, including a big front porch, and upper deck and a spacious, lovely backyard. The proximity to Boulder activities is exceptional. We walked almost everywhere. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay at this lovely place."

  • Estes Exquisite!

"This is the perfect location for Estes Park with so many sites within close walking distance. This vacation house has all the latest updates and amenities while respecting historic character. It is immaculate and provides lots of options for families. The views from the home are spectacular and you can enjoy lots of wildlife close at hand. This was my first visit to Colorado and the location of this home was excellent for seeing many sites. This vacation site far surpassed my expectations. I hope to return again soon."
