  • Peaceful Cabin in St. Mary’s Glacier, CO

"We were lucky to spend a vacation week in this beautiful cabin in St. Mary’s Glacier, CO. You immediately feel at home when you walk into this lovely cabin in the woods. We were greeted by a friendly welcoming note from the owners, CJ and John, along with a nice bottle of wine to enjoy as we started to unwind. CJ makes sure the cabin is stocked with all you need for your stay—including a well-stocked kitchen and fireplaces with plenty of wood and kindling to warm the rooms throughout your visit. There are helpful lists of where to find everything in the cabin, maps for nearby hikes, stargazing equipment and guides and great ideas for favorite stores and restaurants nearby. The cabin is filled with comfortable chairs and throws—perfect for curling up and reading or simply watching the wildlife and beauty outside. We had fun feeding the birds and chipmunks, squirrels and other critters throughout the week! CJ keeps a good supply of birdseed, fox food and trout food which we enjoyed putting out each day. Our dog had a ball watching for his new critter friends and chasing them back and forth on the deck that overlooks the Mt. Evans, beautiful pine trees and flowing stream. The master bed was very comfortable with soft linens and cozy duvet for cool mountain nights. There is lots of closet and drawer space and the master bath has a wonderful Jacuzzi tub that was perfect after a day of hiking the nearby trails. CJ and John have a huge collection of books, games, videos and puzzles to enjoy during your stay, as well as TV and radio/CD player. They have really gone the distance in making sure you have a wonderful, relaxing visit at Saudade. I’ve been back home for a few days now and still miss my comfy chair by the stone fireplace in the cabin. The cabin just has a sense of well-being and tranquility that really helped me unwind. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend staying in this special cabin in St. Mary’s Glacier, CO. Thanks again CJ for your friendly and kind spirit, all the helpful tips and allowing us to stay in your special home. We hope to visit again! Heather, Mike and Murphy"

  • Flower Lane - Divine!

"As a repeat visitor to the Flower Lane cabin, we found it to still be as charming as before. Plenty of room and well equiped for a comfortable stay. The view is amazing, not to mention how vivid the stars are in that location! Thank you Pine Creek for another delightful experience at this cabin."

  • Retired couple and female Scotty Cordelia McLear

"Five restful nights and four leisurely but varied days in this rustic but immaculate bungalow with every modern convenience was a highly restorative experience. The sunken patio with functioning outdoor cooker provided a wind-free setting for outdoor sunning; The large fenced-in yard was a delight for our Scotty. The kitchen is perfect for breakfasts and quick snacks or full dinners. A sun-filled dining room is set up for four but will accommodate eight. A large lounge with fireplace is ideal for music, TV, reading, and conversation. A short four block walk on mostly level surface leads to historic downtown with its shops, restaurants, and Anderson's 1800's grocery store. And a short walk to the n;orth of Biddle Street leads to Georgetown's beautiful Victorian park--an ideal playground for young children. Parking safe. On second morning we awoke to a Currier&Ives winter snow scene and found Biddle Street had already been plowed by the city. Owner most pleasant and helpful in providing info for dining, grocery shopping, and enjoying Georgetown.."

  • Fantastic stay

"We stayed here for the labor day weekend and had a great time. The cabin was as described and perfect. No complaints of any kind. Very close to the park entrance, excellent location overall. Highly recommended for two couples who want a nice place with quick access to the park. Also the fireplace was a great addition that we really enjoyed!"

Front Range Travel Tips

Colorado’s Front Range, a Great Vacation Destination

The "Front Range" is a colloquial term for the area located just east of the foothills of the Front Range. It covers the areas of Boulder, Black Hawk, Central City, Clear Creek County, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Golden, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Nederland. Situated less than an hour’s drive from Denver and its major airport, you will find yourself in the foothills of the Front Range Mountains. Average temperatures here are in the mid-20s Fahrenheit in winter to the high-80s Fahrenheit in summer.

Getting around this beautiful area could not be easier. Good interstate and main highways make accessing each of the wonderful cities and towns simple and convenient. In fact, there are more scenic and historic drives within easy distance of our Front Range vacation homes than any other state in the country.

An Ideal Outdoor Experience for the Whole Family

For a vacation where outdoor activities and sight-seeing are high on your "to do" list, you will be delighted with a Front Range lodging. Wherever you choose as a base your vacation, you will find plenty to do and see. It is said that the Front Range inspired the words for "America the Beautiful" and once here, you will understand why. To see the panorama that inspired these words, take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. On the trip, you will pass by some of the oldest living things on earth--the bristlecone pines. Some of which are over 2,000 years old! Give the kids a taste of farm life by visiting a real working farm. Or visit the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grasslands for 1.5 million acres of wilderness with activities like horse riding, hiking and biking in summer and snowmobiling in winter.

For less active day trips, there are a variety of wonderful drives. The Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway will not only provide glorious views, it is also one of the best places to catch sight of the local bighorn sheep. The historic Lariet Loop encompasses the stunning Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, the town of Golden--famous for the Coors Brewery--and the sight of the grave of Wild Bill Cody, also known as Buffalo Bill. In Central City, the Victorian age opera house is worth a visit along with the historic Moffat Tunnel. A detour will take you to the ghost towns of Hesse and Apex.

The Majesty of the Mountains

If truly spectacular scenery is a must for your perfect destination, the obvious place to find view after amazing view is the Rocky Mountains. Winter here brings world-famous skiing and the fun continues throughout the year. Whether you want to ride a horse or a bike or just hike, there are an abundance of trails to explore, from easy to death-defying! Just imagine choosing one of our Front Range vacation rentals with the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop!

Pick a Vacation Home on the Front Range

The main reasons why vacationers choose our Front Range vacation homes are convenience, space and choice. We have a wide variety homes in whatever location best suits you, with as much space as you desire. Each home is equipped with everything needed to make the perfect vacation. Property owners are often available to assist with any last minute queries and recommendations. Whether you are a couple, family or large group of friends, there will be a perfect property for your needs. Whether you want a city base or a rural retreat, you will find an ideal home here. What better way to relax after an adventurous day than to return to a comfortable, well-equipped home!
