  • Terrific from the booking to the departure.

"The property is titled urban oasis and aptly so. We felt secluded from the day to day Boulder activity amongst gardens and tall spruces visible from the deck of the property. However we reached Pearl Street and other destinations in Boulder in minutes. The property was clean and the bed comfortable. We liked opening the windows and hearing the brook as we hit our pillows each evening. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware and cooking utensils and we were able to host our family one evening of our stay. Though the space was a perfect size for the two of us we did accommodate the five of us in comfort for dinner cooking on the deck's barbecue. There was even a bottle of wine on the counter with bottled water and a bowl of delicious nuts as well as the essential morning coffee. There was lots of reading material though our stay didn't have much leisure opportunity. We were disappointed not to have a wood fire in the stove but we are returning in a few months when I know that will be a priority. Oh, and the soaps were a lovely lingering fragrance on my hands throughout our stay. Strong recommendation and our returning is testament to that endorsement. Thank-you Carma for facilitating our stay. It was excellent!"

  • Thank you!!!

"Oliver and Whitney are amazingly welcoming, responsive and accomodating, and at the same time completely unintrusive. Thank you so much!!! Our favorite things about the apartment were: views of the town and the mountains out of the kitchen, deck and living room (the sun sets behind those mountains and in the morning they are lit with pink from the sun rising on the other side), deer grazing on bushes right in front of the home several mornings in a row; views of the backyard and neighboring homes out of the bedrooms are very pretty too! All the rooms are filled with light -- a very fresh and airy feeling in the home. Fresh, crisp linens and towels, comfortable and plentiful beds/pillows/duvets, nice strong shower. Corner fireplace. Spacious dining table, in fact the whole apartment is quite spacious -- 3 adults and 2 kids (and occasionally 4 adults and 3 kids) didn't get in each other's way at all, also two people can easily function in the kitchen at the same time. Walking proximity to Ideal Market, Pearl Street, nearest bus stop. The pack-n-play is in great condition -- not grimy or stained, and the high chair was much appreciated too. If we ever make it back to Boulder, we will surely be contacting Whitney and Oliver!!!"

  • Long weekend, great atmosphere, and very comfortable

"We stayed at the cabin 3 nights - they were great. Surrounded by trees, wood stove, blankets and equipped kitchen. It was everything we needed. The nearby town Nederland had great restaurants and ice cream parlor. We loved the area - great choice!"

  • A great time again in a super comfortable home.

"This was our second extended stay in Irene's home. We stayed there in September 2013. As before, we were super comfortable and very relaxed. The neighborhood is quiet and away from other houses, but not isolated. And a great view. Lots of wildlife around the house. Downtown is about a 7 minute drive. The location is also convenient to entrances to RMNP and to hiking locations like Twin Sisters, the Estes Cone, Lily Lake, and the Allenspark area. As with September 2013, we met more neighbors while out on walks around the area. The home is beautifully furnished. I never feel like I am in a rental. Irene is wonderful to work with. Quick and complete responses. We are right now planning additional stays in her home."

Front Range Travel Tips

Colorado’s Front Range, a Great Vacation Destination

The "Front Range" is a colloquial term for the area located just east of the foothills of the Front Range. It covers the areas of Boulder, Black Hawk, Central City, Clear Creek County, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Golden, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Nederland. Situated less than an hour’s drive from Denver and its major airport, you will find yourself in the foothills of the Front Range Mountains. Average temperatures here are in the mid-20s Fahrenheit in winter to the high-80s Fahrenheit in summer.

Getting around this beautiful area could not be easier. Good interstate and main highways make accessing each of the wonderful cities and towns simple and convenient. In fact, there are more scenic and historic drives within easy distance of our Front Range vacation homes than any other state in the country.

An Ideal Outdoor Experience for the Whole Family

For a vacation where outdoor activities and sight-seeing are high on your "to do" list, you will be delighted with a Front Range lodging. Wherever you choose as a base your vacation, you will find plenty to do and see. It is said that the Front Range inspired the words for "America the Beautiful" and once here, you will understand why. To see the panorama that inspired these words, take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. On the trip, you will pass by some of the oldest living things on earth--the bristlecone pines. Some of which are over 2,000 years old! Give the kids a taste of farm life by visiting a real working farm. Or visit the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grasslands for 1.5 million acres of wilderness with activities like horse riding, hiking and biking in summer and snowmobiling in winter.

For less active day trips, there are a variety of wonderful drives. The Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway will not only provide glorious views, it is also one of the best places to catch sight of the local bighorn sheep. The historic Lariet Loop encompasses the stunning Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, the town of Golden--famous for the Coors Brewery--and the sight of the grave of Wild Bill Cody, also known as Buffalo Bill. In Central City, the Victorian age opera house is worth a visit along with the historic Moffat Tunnel. A detour will take you to the ghost towns of Hesse and Apex.

The Majesty of the Mountains

If truly spectacular scenery is a must for your perfect destination, the obvious place to find view after amazing view is the Rocky Mountains. Winter here brings world-famous skiing and the fun continues throughout the year. Whether you want to ride a horse or a bike or just hike, there are an abundance of trails to explore, from easy to death-defying! Just imagine choosing one of our Front Range vacation rentals with the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop!

Pick a Vacation Home on the Front Range

The main reasons why vacationers choose our Front Range vacation homes are convenience, space and choice. We have a wide variety homes in whatever location best suits you, with as much space as you desire. Each home is equipped with everything needed to make the perfect vacation. Property owners are often available to assist with any last minute queries and recommendations. Whether you are a couple, family or large group of friends, there will be a perfect property for your needs. Whether you want a city base or a rural retreat, you will find an ideal home here. What better way to relax after an adventurous day than to return to a comfortable, well-equipped home!
