"This is the first time we have rented from Lake Shore Marina Condos and it will definitely not be our last. Everything we could possibly need was right there. We have family in the area but it was nice to have our own little place to retreat to. Lori was so nice and has such a good sense of humor."Guest: Marilyn A. "A beautiful setting for a reunion with friends to celebrate our 50th birthdays! Close to town, hiking, and amazing vistas! Your home is incredibly crafted and extremely welcoming and comfortable. April is a gracious hostess. We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our gathering. Thank you April!"Guest: Karen Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 17, 2014View listing
"All the comforts of home in this beautiful cabin with breathtaking scenery. Kitchen stocked with the misc. supplies you need to eat in and you feel like you're visiting a family home. Skiing is so close with only 45 minutes to Loveland Basin, or 1.25 hrs to Keystone, Breck and Copper Mountain. We'll be back!!!! Thank you."Guest: Joan Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 1, 2014View listing
"Just returned home from an awesome family vacation at Star Peak. To be honest ... I was very sadden to leave the incredible views and the friendliness of Nederland. Star Peak is a beautiful place for a large family, the accommodations are comfortable and there is plenty of room for extra bedding (all provided). The master bedroom was beautiful and had a very authentic mountain home feel. We all loved the hot tub and couldn't wait to return from hiking to relax in the bubbling hot tub while grilling steaks on the grill. Overall, loved loved loved our stay and cannot wait to turn to Nederland. Property manager is very helpful and answered ALL my questions in a very timely manner. Would definitely rent any property from him again and will recommend him to family and friends."Guest: Laurie W. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 14, 2014View listing
Front Range Travel Tips
Colorado’s Front Range, a Great Vacation Destination
The "Front Range" is a colloquial term for the area located just east of the foothills of the Front Range. It covers the areas of Boulder, Black Hawk, Central City, Clear Creek County, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Golden, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Nederland. Situated less than an hour’s drive from Denver and its major airport, you will find yourself in the foothills of the Front Range Mountains. Average temperatures here are in the mid-20s Fahrenheit in winter to the high-80s Fahrenheit in summer.
Getting around this beautiful area could not be easier. Good interstate and main highways make accessing each of the wonderful cities and towns simple and convenient. In fact, there are more scenic and historic drives within easy distance of our Front Range vacation homes than any other state in the country.
An Ideal Outdoor Experience for the Whole Family
For a vacation where outdoor activities and sight-seeing are high on your "to do" list, you will be delighted with a Front Range lodging. Wherever you choose as a base your vacation, you will find plenty to do and see. It is said that the Front Range inspired the words for "America the Beautiful" and once here, you will understand why. To see the panorama that inspired these words, take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. On the trip, you will pass by some of the oldest living things on earth--the bristlecone pines. Some of which are over 2,000 years old! Give the kids a taste of farm life by visiting a real working farm. Or visit the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grasslands for 1.5 million acres of wilderness with activities like horse riding, hiking and biking in summer and snowmobiling in winter.
For less active day trips, there are a variety of wonderful drives. The Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway will not only provide glorious views, it is also one of the best places to catch sight of the local bighorn sheep. The historic Lariet Loop encompasses the stunning Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, the town of Golden--famous for the Coors Brewery--and the sight of the grave of Wild Bill Cody, also known as Buffalo Bill. In Central City, the Victorian age opera house is worth a visit along with the historic Moffat Tunnel. A detour will take you to the ghost towns of Hesse and Apex.
The Majesty of the Mountains
If truly spectacular scenery is a must for your perfect destination, the obvious place to find view after amazing view is the Rocky Mountains. Winter here brings world-famous skiing and the fun continues throughout the year. Whether you want to ride a horse or a bike or just hike, there are an abundance of trails to explore, from easy to death-defying! Just imagine choosing one of our Front Range vacation rentals with the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop!
Pick a Vacation Home on the Front Range
