  • Excellent location! Wonderful experience!

"My travel companions and I attended a conference in Denver and added a few days prior to the conference to see some of the sites in Colorado. After learning The Taste of Boulder was occurring during the time we were there, we decided upon Boulder for a few days and booked a hotel in town. Lucky for us, we stumbled upon this property and decided to try our luck with a rental instead of a hotel. We are so glad we did! The property is in an excellent location just off Pearl Street and convenient to the Pedestrian Mall. We could not have asked for a better location. The home also had everything we needed for our stay. With so many wonderful restaurants nearby, we did not really utilize the kitchen for meals, but it seemed to have been stocked with everything one might need. The beds were very comfortable, and while the unit is small and cozy, the three of us had plenty of space to gather, as well as the opportunity for some quiet time in our rooms. I can't say enough about the owner, who was most accommodating. She communicated with us prior to our arrival as well as afterward, making sure everything was as it should be. I would highly recommend this unit as a base for visiting downtown Boulder, and I would also add a recommendation that you take an early morning stroll to Snooze a.m. Eatery for breakfast (Their OMG! French Toast is every bit of its name!). If you are lucky enough to travel during the Taste of Pearl, be sure to get your tickets for that event, Wonderful visit, wonderful unit, wonderful owner. Absolutely nothing negative that I could say. Gratitude to the owner for sharing this unit!"

  • Wonderful cabin for family get-away

"My wife and I took our family here. We have 3 young kids. The house itself is wonderful. Spacious, a nice kitchen, and the upstairs is really nice. The house was very well stocked with supplies, both in the kitchen and elsewhere. We enjoyed fires in the wood-burning stove, and we really enjoyed the wrap-around deck with gates. There were constantly humming birds at the feeders. The creek was also fun behind the property. Because the area is dense with vegetation and wildlife, we kept kids close because you can't see the creek from the house. There is plenty to do very nearby. Saint Mary's Glacier is very close by, and definitely worth the hike. We had no problem filling our 7 day vacation and wished we could fit more in. We really enjoyed driving the route that takes you northwest to Rocky Mountain National Park. We are from the flat midwest, so driving the mountain road you take up to the house took some getting used to. We did deal with some car and altitude sickness, because the house is really at over 10,000 feet. The drive from the highway up the mountain is about 20 minutes. This isn't a complaint, just an fyi to others, especially parents of young kids. Overall a great experience and highly recommended."

  • Great Home and Location

"I had a large group that included two small children staying in the home. We loved the location, amount of space, and amenities. The children enjoyed being able to run around indoors (it was winter and cold) and we appreciated being so close to both downtown Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park. The home is setup very well for families with children as the back bedroom has bunk beds and a small living room area with toys and games. The kitchen was very well stocked and even had two coffee makers. I've stayed at many vacation homes and this one was by far the best!"

Front Range Travel Tips

Colorado’s Front Range, a Great Vacation Destination

The "Front Range" is a colloquial term for the area located just east of the foothills of the Front Range. It covers the areas of Boulder, Black Hawk, Central City, Clear Creek County, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Golden, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Nederland. Situated less than an hour’s drive from Denver and its major airport, you will find yourself in the foothills of the Front Range Mountains. Average temperatures here are in the mid-20s Fahrenheit in winter to the high-80s Fahrenheit in summer.

Getting around this beautiful area could not be easier. Good interstate and main highways make accessing each of the wonderful cities and towns simple and convenient. In fact, there are more scenic and historic drives within easy distance of our Front Range vacation homes than any other state in the country.

An Ideal Outdoor Experience for the Whole Family

For a vacation where outdoor activities and sight-seeing are high on your "to do" list, you will be delighted with a Front Range lodging. Wherever you choose as a base your vacation, you will find plenty to do and see. It is said that the Front Range inspired the words for "America the Beautiful" and once here, you will understand why. To see the panorama that inspired these words, take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. On the trip, you will pass by some of the oldest living things on earth--the bristlecone pines. Some of which are over 2,000 years old! Give the kids a taste of farm life by visiting a real working farm. Or visit the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grasslands for 1.5 million acres of wilderness with activities like horse riding, hiking and biking in summer and snowmobiling in winter.

For less active day trips, there are a variety of wonderful drives. The Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway will not only provide glorious views, it is also one of the best places to catch sight of the local bighorn sheep. The historic Lariet Loop encompasses the stunning Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, the town of Golden--famous for the Coors Brewery--and the sight of the grave of Wild Bill Cody, also known as Buffalo Bill. In Central City, the Victorian age opera house is worth a visit along with the historic Moffat Tunnel. A detour will take you to the ghost towns of Hesse and Apex.

The Majesty of the Mountains

If truly spectacular scenery is a must for your perfect destination, the obvious place to find view after amazing view is the Rocky Mountains. Winter here brings world-famous skiing and the fun continues throughout the year. Whether you want to ride a horse or a bike or just hike, there are an abundance of trails to explore, from easy to death-defying! Just imagine choosing one of our Front Range vacation rentals with the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop!

Pick a Vacation Home on the Front Range

The main reasons why vacationers choose our Front Range vacation homes are convenience, space and choice. We have a wide variety homes in whatever location best suits you, with as much space as you desire. Each home is equipped with everything needed to make the perfect vacation.
