  • Northridge Nest was just right for our family reunion in Estes Park this October!

"For our first VRBO rental we were so pleased with the Nest in Estes Park, Colorado. We had families from the East coast and the Northwest descend upon Colorado for a five day reunion in the town where many of us had spent happy years growing up. It was dark when we arrived and we had to warm the house up. Once we got all the thermostats working it was fairly cozy. We would suggest keeping an eye on the temperature during your stay so you stay warm. We were able to access the key and suggest returning it in to the holder in case you forget to take keys with you when you venture out to the park. We forgot and it saved us a couple of times! We had four family units and each group had just the perfect place to stay in the house. Our teen girls loved their aero beds, with extra blankets, in the garage where they had their own space and a heating unit that kept them comfortable. The rest of us spread out in the house. We fixed our own food during our stay and had a bit of a problem with a burner on the stove not working. We made do and enjoyed the counter space and table near the kitchen where we spent a good share of our time. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and had plently of pots & pans and casserole dishes to use. The refrigerator even had some items we purchased and wouldn't have if we had known. The fireplace was nice and we purchased wood and fire logs to use in it a number of evenings during our stay. The big screen TV was nice to view from the kitchen as well as the living room. The décor is very nice with birds and trees and nature tying the Nest theme together. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms seemed adequate. There was plenty of bedding and towels for everyone to use. A special treat was the elk herd that bedded down around the north side of the house each day. The bull was beautiful with his rack of antlers and there was even a little calf. The views were nice and one morning we took a walk around the neighborhood, a neighbor stopped by to say hi and asked where we lived. He said the owners were real nice folks. We will certainly consider staying in the Northridge Nest for future trips to Estes Park. Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

  • Just like Home!!

"Our son and his girlfriend live in Fort Collins. So we wanted a place we could all be together. Especially since it was Easter weekend. This home is a great place and very clean. Sue was great to work with and made our travel arrangements really easy. Thanks for making our vacation so much fun. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Cozy Cabin

"This cabin was great! It was so cool that we could walk right out the back door and hike, a good feat for your first day there is to make it to the top of Triangle Mountain which is right out the back door of this cabin. You will get great views of the valley and Glen Haven. The cabin is stocked with cooking supplies, bedding, and towels which was great. It is very peaceful to listen to the sound of the river when you wake up or go to sleep. No A/C but it never gets hot enough to be necessary. Ken was a great guide, sad we didn't get to meet Marsha except on the phone, maybe next time when we come stay again! This cabin was just what we needed for vacation! Would recommend to all. Hope Glen Haven has a quick recovery from the flood last fall, can't wait to see what it looks like when we come back. Go to the General Store for some great cobbler, fudge, and cinnamon rolls! Thank you Hoberts!"

  • Wonderful Retreat!

"The cabin was exactly what we had hoped it would be! Cozy, comfortable, and extremely relaxing. The fireplace and hot tub really made it the perfect get-a-away. Linda was amazing and so responsive to any questions/requests. Would definitely recommend this cabin. The views and the deck were spectacular!!"

Front Range Travel Tips

Colorado’s Front Range, a Great Vacation Destination

The "Front Range" is a colloquial term for the area located just east of the foothills of the Front Range. It covers the areas of Boulder, Black Hawk, Central City, Clear Creek County, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Golden, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Nederland. Situated less than an hour’s drive from Denver and its major airport, you will find yourself in the foothills of the Front Range Mountains. Average temperatures here are in the mid-20s Fahrenheit in winter to the high-80s Fahrenheit in summer.

Getting around this beautiful area could not be easier. Good interstate and main highways make accessing each of the wonderful cities and towns simple and convenient. In fact, there are more scenic and historic drives within easy distance of our Front Range vacation homes than any other state in the country.

An Ideal Outdoor Experience for the Whole Family

For a vacation where outdoor activities and sight-seeing are high on your "to do" list, you will be delighted with a Front Range lodging. Wherever you choose as a base your vacation, you will find plenty to do and see. It is said that the Front Range inspired the words for "America the Beautiful" and once here, you will understand why. To see the panorama that inspired these words, take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. On the trip, you will pass by some of the oldest living things on earth--the bristlecone pines. Some of which are over 2,000 years old! Give the kids a taste of farm life by visiting a real working farm. Or visit the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grasslands for 1.5 million acres of wilderness with activities like horse riding, hiking and biking in summer and snowmobiling in winter.

For less active day trips, there are a variety of wonderful drives. The Mount Evans Scenic and Historic Byway will not only provide glorious views, it is also one of the best places to catch sight of the local bighorn sheep. The historic Lariet Loop encompasses the stunning Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, the town of Golden--famous for the Coors Brewery--and the sight of the grave of Wild Bill Cody, also known as Buffalo Bill. In Central City, the Victorian age opera house is worth a visit along with the historic Moffat Tunnel. A detour will take you to the ghost towns of Hesse and Apex.

The Majesty of the Mountains

If truly spectacular scenery is a must for your perfect destination, the obvious place to find view after amazing view is the Rocky Mountains. Winter here brings world-famous skiing and the fun continues throughout the year. Whether you want to ride a horse or a bike or just hike, there are an abundance of trails to explore, from easy to death-defying! Just imagine choosing one of our Front Range vacation rentals with the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop!

Pick a Vacation Home on the Front Range

The main reasons why vacationers choose our Front Range vacation homes are convenience, space and choice. We have a wide variety homes in whatever location best suits you, with as much space as you desire. Each home is equipped with everything needed to make the perfect vacation. Property owners are often available to assist with any last minute queries and recommendations. Whether you are a couple, family or large group of friends, there will be a perfect property for your needs. Whether you want a city base or a rural retreat, you will find an ideal home here. What better way to relax after an adventurous day than to return to a comfortable, well-equipped home!
