  • First Time Empty Nesters

"My husband and I took our first ski vacation without our children. We are used to renting a house or large condo so that everyone has enough room to spread out. Being used to having a kitchen and living room, we knew we would suffocate in a hotel room. This was so much better (and cheaper) than a hotel room which by the way are extremely expensive in Aspen/Snowmass. It was perfect! We didn't even rent a car. We walked easily to the slopes and restaurants. A few times we rode the bus (free) up to Snowmass and Aspen Highlands. So much to see and do in the Aspen area. I would recommend this condo to anyone wanting some extra space and a great location (with a view too). It was finished out very nicely and there was even a hot tub directly off the elevator to the property as well as a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub in the unit! Perfect!"

  • Close to Town...

"I stayed in this home with my wife and three girls. The house is spectacular in terms of the architecture and furnishings. Several nights we had a chef come into the house and he raved about the commercial Wolf range. I’m planning to book this house again for my college friends reunion. Lighting systems, media room with bar area made this home very comfortable for our extended rental. Kris (riverside, IL)"

  • charming studio apartment for Christmas get-away

"This bright, clean, cheerful studio apartment with a fantastic location is easily accessible to everything Aspen has to offer: restaurants, bus system, grocery shopping, nordic & alpine skiing. On-site parking added to its appeal. The rental would have earned a 5-star rating except for (1) the fully applianced (stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave) functional kitchen was missing any pot holders, a corkscrew, dishwasher detergent, etc; and (2) absence of a snow shovel that made parking in "our designated spot" impossible during a major snowstorm. Although the owner had been quite responsive prior to the snow shovel inquiry, we never heard from him again following the snowstorm. We would return again; but with some basic kitchen items in hand."

  • We'd return in a New York second!

"The first thing I do when entering a hotel room or VRBO is check for cleanliness, and this condo passed with flying colors. Then I check for amenities and again this condo excelled: multiple kleenex boxes, extra blankets, thick towels, full bar soaps, more cooking staples than typical, double-door refrigerator, quality lighting, and comfortable beds. The location is as described and is terrific: very close to the Aspen (Ajax) gondola and free ski bus, and an easy walk to the City Market grocery store and other downtown locations. If you fly into Aspen, there is no need for a car; a taxi ride is about $25. As described, the main living area is below grade and accessed by an exterior stairway. It snowed several times during our stay and the snow was promptly cleared. The loft (full 2nd bedroom and full bath) is accessed via a spiral stairway, an easy task for children and mobile adults. The owners clearly take pride in their ski home and genuinely want guests to enjoy their stay, plus they are straightforward and professional in their arrangements. I think the best question of a VRBO rental is "how likely is it that you would stay at this location again?" My answer? In a New York second."
