  • Perfect for family ski week.

"My family (ages 15 and up) stayed here over the New Year holiday. This house is located in a quiet neighborhood and is an easy walk to town and the Snowmass bus-stop. It is a very comfortable house with a pleasant wood-burning fireplace on the main floor. It has plenty of space, and very much met our needs for a family ski week."

  • Top notch downtown Aspen Condo

"Just returned from a fantastic summer vacation in the Colorado Mountains. Aspen is terrific, any season. This property is in a super location. No need to worry about finding parking in downtown Aspen. Restaurants, shopping and amenities are all within walking distance. The condo is top notch. Pristine, spacious, tastefully upgraded and decorated. A winner across the board. Can't wait to return!"

  • Amazing private and ultra romantic!

"We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was amazing. Very private, super cozy and off the scale romantic. Perfect in town location, walking distance to everything and tons of things to do and see. Hit paradise bakery, or Sunny Side up for breakfast and take it back to your room to enjoy breakfast in a bubble bath! Needless to say we can't wait to stay again!"

  • Memorable Stay in golden Aspens!!

"My husband, son and daughter in law and our two 10 yr old grandchildren recently spent 5 days in your lovely home. Out the front door we walked and explored downtown Aspen, we were able to walk to stores and restaurants, and most importantly, we were able to walk to, and immediately be in nature, on the Rio Grande Trail and the Hunter Creek Trail, a short walk from the house. Also, we took short drives to Ashcroft, Maroon Bells and the beautiful American Lake Trail, all of which we enjoyed exploring. Your home is comfortable and inviting - the 3 levels gave all of us our share of "alone time" to read, nap or just gaze out the window at the aspen trees. The main floor with the combo of dining room, a fireplace w/ sitting area and kitchen was especially nice for us to socialize and recap the day! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! We will be back!"

Private Homes, (Core) Downtown Travel Tips

Renting Downtown Aspen Ski Condos

During your Aspen vacation, you'll want to do plenty of skiing and snowboarding, since the slopes are among the world's greatest. But Aspen has so much more to offer than winter sports. Downtown Aspen lodging provides both easy access to the mountains and proximity to lots of great shopping and dining. Downtown Aspen ski condos also have a lot of features that hotels don't, such as kitchens, more storage, and a more personal feel. So as you're shopping for Aspen vacation rentals, think about the advantages of renting a vacation home for you and your family. Here are a few ideas about what to do in Aspen once you've located a place to stay.

Aspen Dining

Downtown Aspen ski condos are often within walking distance of some great restaurants. For an authentic French brasserie experience, try Brexi Brasserie on South Monarch Street. There's loads of atmosphere, cool lighting, and a great wine list. Try the Fruites de Mer if you like seafood, or the beet and kale salad if you're in the mood for something a bit lighter. And if you have room for dessert, the creme brulee is fabulous. If you're in town at lunchtime, Johnny McGuire's Deli is a fun choice, with an extensive selection of sandwiches.

Aspen Equipment Shops

Since the whole reason that you're in Aspen is probably to hit the slopes, be sure to check out some of the gear stores, many of which are close to downtown Aspen lodging. Radio Boardshop on East Cooper Ave. is a favorite amongst local riders, with a knowledgeable staff and the latest gear. It's hard to resist picking up one of their cool, radio-shaped bumper stickers, too. If any of your family snowboards, it's a great place to gear up before getting on the lift.
