Aspen Dining

Downtown Aspen ski condos are often within walking distance of some great restaurants. For an authentic French brasserie experience, try Brexi Brasserie on South Monarch Street. There's loads of atmosphere, cool lighting, and a great wine list. Try the Fruites de Mer if you like seafood, or the beet and kale salad if you're in the mood for something a bit lighter. And if you have room for dessert, the creme brulee is fabulous. If you're in town at lunchtime, Johnny McGuire's Deli is a fun choice, with an extensive selection of sandwiches.

Aspen Equipment Shops

Since the whole reason that you're in Aspen is probably to hit the slopes, be sure to check out some of the gear stores, many of which are close to downtown Aspen lodging. Radio Boardshop on East Cooper Ave. is a favorite amongst local riders, with a knowledgeable staff and the latest gear. It's hard to resist picking up one of their cool, radio-shaped bumper stickers, too. If any of your family snowboards, it's a great place to gear up before getting on the lift.
