  • Wonderful Experience!

"My family (a group of 9) stayed in 4 rooms at this eclectic hotel. Because the rooms were all situated around the sitting room/lobby, it felt like we were staying in a home. One of our suites had a kitchen with bar and sitting room, which was perfect for having wine and cheese after a day of shopping! Will definitely stay here again when in Aspen."

  • Awesome in Aspen!

"What a wonderful place to stay. Emily is easy to work with, responsive, and answered all my questions prior to our stay. The house location could not be better. Two blocks from both the Rio Grande and the Smuggler trail, with lots of great places to hike, bike, and walk the dog. CLose to everything but quiet and peaceful. The house itself is beautiful with lovely artwork and furnishings. It is well laid out, and the kitchen is big with lots of counter space and has everything you need. I cooked 4 nights and it was great. The master bedroom is wonderful with it's access to the patio and hot tub. Comfy beds. We spent a lot of time in the backyard and on the patio. Lots of shade, beautiful green grass (dog was in heaven), and a perfect swing to sit in and look at the mountains and the stars. We will definately be back! Thanks Emily."

  • Perfect location

"We were two couples in town for a wedding. The place could'nt have been located any better. Walking distance from everything you would want to do in Aspen. The downstairs night club was lots of fun and the roof top jacuzzi made for a perfect winter setting to wrap up an evening. Will be staying here again!"

  • Wow!!!!! Breathtaking Beauty in Every Direction!!!

"From the first inquiry, our host went out of his way to make sure everything about our much-needed, vacation was perfect Upon arrival, after a 15 hour drive, it was nice to have the house open and ready for move in. Our adventure started with a short hike up the Carbonate Creek trail directly from the cabin driveway. The creek was flowing strong which made for some great photos and a nice picnic. Later in the day we took the drive into Aspen for the “rainy” Jazz Festival. Though, we elected not to sit in the concert in the rain, we still enjoyed a great burger and some shopping in town. On Saturday, we took the Jeep out on the 4-wheel drive road, Lead King Basin. And, yes, they do mean it when they say 4-wheel drive only. The six mile drive to the Geneva Lake parking area took over an hour. And, despite some harrowing bumps that forced this writer to get out and walk, the road was exciting and the views breathtaking in every direction. The hike up to Geneva Lake is not to be missed. After a nice lunch, a short hike back to the car (while watching the rain clouds gather) and another harrowing trip back up the Jeep road, we meandered into town for beer and BBQ at the Slow Groovin’. The owners were delightful and seemed to have the only ESPN connection in town. Other adventures while we were there included a 10 mile hike, up the jeep road to the Crystal Mill and the town of Crystal. The Crystal Mill was dilapidatingly beautiful and all together fascinating. A mountain bike ride in Carbondale (which also allowed us to check email and voicemail), lunch at the Redstone Inn (the best burger in the area) and a drive up Old Marble Mill Road rounded out the trip. The cabin itself has all the comforts of home. At the owner’s recommendation, we made a stop at the Whole Foods in El Jebel and had our provisions for the week. Bacon and eggs at sunrise started each day for us....we actually looked forward to the morning rooster crowing, something we city folk don’t hear too often. Grilling on the patio with a cold beer and a million stars was a highlight and a night of skillet lasagna (no cook noodles) also turned out great. When we weren’t playing ping pong, we enjoyed evenings by candlelight, giving a generator a bit of the break and enjoying the owner’s fabulous music collection. The cabin and the area made a home in my heart and I know we will be back there for another visit soon. Thanks for a perfect time!!!"
