"Typically we stay at hotels or condos in Vail Village for our annual summer trip to Vail, but this time we decided to rent a home so we could have family and friends experience summer in Vail. We were a little hesitant to stay outside the village, but ended up we were not disappointed by this decision. The home is very comfortable with lots of privacy for a couple of families. My sister, her husband, and young child stayed in the master upstairs and we took over downstairs. The bedrooms were very comfortable with lots of closet space. The bathrooms downstairs are newly remodeled and gorgeous. (Got some ideas for my own bathroom remodel this summer.) Everything was in working order. The kitchen was well stocked with seasoning, napkins, paper towels, foil, etc. (All the things that cost money at the grocery store but you only need to use once.)
I'm very picky about cleanliness, and the housekeeping did a great job in the turnover. We also had the opportunity to meet the owners, who were very friendly and accommodating. They were there to check the house personally, which should give everyone the assurance that the owners care about their home and it's not "just a rental". Monica was very quick to respond to my emails and questions, and the deposit was sent back within a few days of our departure. I would highly recommend this property. The area is also very convenient to Vail and Beaver Creek, and in a residential area.
We spent most of our time in Vail/Lionshead, and the drive was a quick 10 minutes door to parking garage. For those of you who travel to Vail only in winter - go in the summer!! You will not regret it. I almost hate to recommend this home because we'd like to come back. It is a great price for the area, lots of space, nicely decorated, beautiful deck and views. We did not use the hot tub or local pool just because we were busy being out and about, but it was nice to have dinner out on the deck at night and enjoy family and friends. One word for those of you unfamiliar with mountain homes - hardly any have air-conditioning. This one does not either, but it was never a problem. Temps cool down in the 50s at night; with fans, the house cools down quickly. Don't let it deter you. Thanks to the owners for making sure we had a wonderful place to enjoy and share our summer Vail vacation!"
