  • Breckenridge magic

"Our family enjoyed our time at the Moonstone house so much for our SpringBreak 2014 adventures. Easy access to skiing and equally easy to go to town to shop and eat. It was great to have a full kitchen, cozy fireplace and beautiful, tranquil backyard to enjoy. The owners were full of great local tips to direct us to additional activities including tubing, snow shoe trails, and even dig sledding! They are locals who really wanted our Breck experience to be first class! Plenty of room to relax after a long day skiing!"

  • Stunning Views; Away from Town; Incredibly helpful owners

"We were two familes on a skiing holiday. It was our first time to Breckenridge. The house is spacious, and comfortable. Pool table and hot tub were great. Nicely decorated, with absolutely stunning views of the slopes. Ambient heat system is almost too good! About 4 miles out of town. We drove into town, but there is a Summit Stage bus stop about 5-10 walk (depending on what you're wearing on your feet!) from the house. We did use the bus sometimes and it was really convenient. Ryan went above and beyond the call of duty, which is a testament to how well the property is managed, and how customers are valued. We made the mistake of not renting a 4WD vehicle. Ryan helped us source some tire cables for the car, and then we were mobile again. Without them I don't know what we would have done. Definitely rent 4WD if you are staying in the winter. The roads out of town to the house are hilly. They are all plowed, but the last couple don't get gritted. We would highly recommend Blue River Sports for ski rentals -- convenient to the Village, individual boot fitting, and they stored our skis every night. Especially great if you're taking the bus in and out of town. Tubing at Frisco Adventure Park was great. Very well organised. And easy to reserve online in advance. We also did the Two Below Zero Sleigh/Dinner ride which was superb. We were really happy with our choice of property, as noted above. My only caution to potential renters is that this house is not as well "stocked" as other vacation rentals we've had. There was toilet paper, dish washing soap, diswasher detergent, garbage bags. But no laundry soap, bounce sheets, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap. Salt and pepper but no other spices, oil, etc. All things that you don't really want to buy a whole bottle of for a week. The upside is that there was no old supplies lying around, but sometimes it's nice to find those things in the cupboard."

  • Love this house!

"Our group included 4 college kids and my spouse and I. We spent an hour just looking at all the rooms and the detail. Fabulous log home with an impressive entry, as we pulled up, the kids went nuts. Homey, warm and palatial at the same time. Wonderful "tree" in the foyer led to a beautiful spiral staircase to the lower level. The kitchen/hearthroom was comfortable and one could spend hours admiring the detail in the ceiling log beams. We enjoyed talking and eating in beautiful surroundings. In the morning our feet were toasty on the heated stone floors. Also beautiful! Fantastic views from every room. Having 3 boys with us and one girl, the apartment over the garage space was brilliant! After a day skiing we ordered up food some nights from Gourmet Cabby, watched the fabulous sunsets, discussing our runs on the mountain over dinner. Had a little sing along in the hearth room a couple nights (one son had his guitar) and then, it was movie time in the theater! By the way, the lights lighting up the road to the house was a great thought. The photos here don't do the house justice. Ya gotta see this in person. Couldn't have had a better family vacation and we plan to go back. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous home!"

  • Perfect Couples' Ski Weekend

"We found this beautiful mountain home the perfect retreat for our ski weekend! Our group was comprised of three couples from around the U.S. The views and furnishings of the home exceeded our expectations. In the morning, we enjoyed sipping coffee and taking in the fantastic views of the mountains through the large picture windows. We also opted to stay in and order pizza one night, as we wanted to enjoy the cozy family room and watch college basketball on the flat screen T.V. We look forward to renting this place again for our next Breckenridge vacation!"
