"We spent Thanksgiving at Fuller Placer and had a wonderful time. The kitchen was amazing! The house was so roomy, comfortable, beautiful, and well equipped! We walked, hiked the mountains, skied, did the roller coaster, shopped Breckenridge and the Outlet Mall in Dillon, hot tubbed, watched DVDs. The altitude sickness was unexpected but the Oxygen can helped. Should have visited one of the Oxygen bars in town. We loved the house and so did our Golden Retriever, Midas. Thank you!6"Guest: Renee Q. Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 9, 2013View listing
"The owners were timely and efficient in providing the basic information (directions, house information) and we really appreciated their helpful suggestions regarding activities, eating places, etc. The house had all we needed and everything was clean and good working condition. The house's three levels provided a slight energy challenge because of our adjustment to higher elevation, but it also gave each of us privacy when needed. The location was ideal - quietly tucked among trees with easy access to a trail head, but not too far from town. We would definitely recommend this to anyone and hopefully will return - but for a longer time-frame. **NOTE: You are at > 10,000 feet. Remember to follow the "high altitude" directions when baking brownies.... :-)"Guest: Island Girl Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 28, 2014View listing
"We booked this property on a last minute getaway for 7 adults. Steve and Nancy were great to work with, and helped make sure we had an enjoyable stay. Everything at the house was exactly as described. The kitchen / great room combination is significantly larger than it appears in the pictures, and could easily accommodate 10-12 people. All of the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were large, clean, and well stocked with towels. The kitchen was very well stocked, complete with both a gas and charcoal grill right off the spacious deck. This house feels very secluded. Out on the deck or in the hot tub, only one other house was visible. It was a very short drive to downtown Breck, and easily be walked if you are in good shape. We hiked right out the back of the house up the trail to about 10,600 feet, and highly recommend this. Overall, I highly recommend this house and would happily return."Guest: Dan K. "The only reason this is a 5-star review is that 10-stars wasn't an option. We just got back from a long weekend stay at View Manor and it definitely did not disappoint. Breckenridge was the location for an old college roommate get-together and we decided to stay here. We had eleven 30 year-olds (4 couples and 3 singles) out for a weekend of skiing and catching up and View Manor was the perfect lodging choice. In fact, as each new group came into the house each of them echoed the others' sentiments..."this house is awesome!" The photos on the site are a great representation of the house but two things that are lost through the pictures are just how spacious all the bedrooms and living areas are, and also how thoughtfully the home is decorated. It shows that a great deal of time and energy were spent focusing on every detail of the décor to make it perfect. From the custom ironwork on the lamps and bar stools to the countless bear decorations, the home has a very cozy mountain feel. A few things that we were hesitant about when reading about the property, but that proved to be a non-issue were the location and the fact that it's listed as a duplex. - Location: The property is a bit up Baldy mountain which provides spectacular views but puts you a little farther away from the ski lifts than a ski-in/ski-out. We had plenty of cars for our entire group so this was no issue at all as we just took the 5-10 minute drive to the peak 9 parking lot and got first tracks each day. - Duplex: Don't let this scare you away as this is really more of a standalone home. There is only 1 shared wall and we had no issues with hearing the neighbor or being heard ourselves. View Manor would be the perfect place to stay for anyone looking for a spacious, comfortable, well-appointed home in a great location. I would recommend this property to anyone, and when we begin planning our next reunion in the mountains, I will definitely get in touch with David in hopes that View Manor is available for a repeat stay. Thanks for everything View Manor (and David) you definitely helped make our reunion trip so memorable!"Guest: IU Hoosiers Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: February 27, 2014View listing
