  • Beautiful House and a Great Location!!!

"Every year we have a birthday party/ski weekend in Breck. This house is by far our favorite and everyone in our group would love to stay here again. The pictures are very accurate. The inside has all been redone and it looks beautiful! The heated tiles, fireplace, jacuzzi, and grill were so nice after skiing all day. The kitchen was perfect with the double ovens. (Essential when cooking for a larger group) The beds were very comfortable. The location is great because you feel more secluded, but you are so close to the town. To top it all off, the owner is easy to work with and very responsive. It's way better than dealing with some company. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit throughout the year!"

  • Relaxing by the river

"Wonderful week in Blue River. Kathy's home is large and very comfortable. Looks like the photos and feels like home. Nice sized kitchen with everything you need -- including condiments. Bedrooms are roomy, everything was very clean. Having a garage to keep the morning dew off the car was a nice perk. And the house really is on the river - less than 5 feet from the back deck. The sound of the water made it easy to sleep at night. We spent most days hiking (so many great hikes are within a few miles of Kathy's place), and most afternoons relaxing at the house. Being able to have my dog with me was important, and she loved it too - especially one morning when we saw a black bear across the street! The neighborhood has plenty of quiet streets to walk the dog, and plenty of dog lovers live there. Highly recommended -- I plan to come back for more hiking in the spring!"

  • Awesome place to spend your vacation

"The house was more than we could expect. The place is absolutely amazing. We planned to go as a group of 15 but only 11 of us could make it. We had a blast. The house was prepared and cleaned for our arrival and all issues were taken care of immediately. We had no complains. The communications with the owner was great. Everything worked out great. This will not be the last time I’ve rented this property. Strongly recommended."

  • Great cabin!

"This was just what we were looking for. Very close to town, very close to hiking, ride (road bikes) right out the door (a little non-pave to get to the road), trails to hike and walk the dogs without having to drive. The yard is "fenced-in" if you have good dogs. Its a wire fence and our dogs respected the boundary but the puppy needed a training opportunity to learn to honor the fence then respected it through the week. The burrowing ground squirrels kept their noses busy each morning. HIGHLIGHTS: Moose tracks in the creek 6 feet from the patio. A lake trail to hike for short jaunts and a higher mountain trail a little higher. Quandry Peak trailhead is 3 miles South to bag a 14er (although not the prettiest 14er). Don't miss the Spruce Creek trailhead for awesome waterfalls (go W. on CO-800 from Goose Pasture Tarn)."

Blue River Travel Tips

Make Blue River Condo Rentals Your Mountain Home

Nestled in the mountains of Colorado, Blue River condo rentals put you at the front door of the best hiking in Breckenridge. Your Blue River lodging is a perfect base camp for you and your family or hiking companions. Hiking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing in the scenic Blue River district is an adventure that is not easily surpassed. Breckenridge vacation rentals provide all of the comforts of home. Featuring fully appointed kitchens, private bedrooms, and a comfortable place to gather, Blue River lodging feels like your own special place. Many rentals feature hot tubs and beautiful decks that look out over scenic mountain views.

Hiking Quandary Mountain

Quandary Mountain has a summit of 14,000 feet. If you would like a nice introduction to Quandary, try the East Ridge Trail. This easy-to-follow trail will take you on a pleasant half mile hike to the timberline. After that, you have about 2 miles before you reach the summit. The trail is open when the snow is falling, but you will have to trade your hiking boots for snowshoes. Below the timberline there are some great spots to ski. Blue Ridge condo rentals make staging your hike, from meal preparation to equipment storage, easy and fun.

Mountain Biking in the Blue River Area

If you would like to add some mountain biking to your mountain hiking adventure, this is the place. A nice 11 mile ride from Breckenridge to Hoosier Pass takes you to a height of 11,000 plus feet. Your bike hike will start very close to your accommodation and will pass the trail head to Quandary Mountain. Scenic views include small lakes, flowered meadows, and beautiful views of neighboring mountains. Don't forget to pack a camera and some binoculars along with your standard kit.
