  • Great stay at GTL

"We took 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 15, 17, and 8) to Grand Timber Lodge at Breckenridge the week after New Year's 2015. It was great renting from Jayme - she was extremely friendly, responsive, and made the entire transaction easy. Checking in/out was painless, as was paying, etc. GTL is a great place for families - It is not the newest resort at Breckenridge, but the location is excellent with an easy ski/walk to the Beaver Run chair (or take the Shuttle, like we did most days), and just far enough from the main Peak 8 Village to not be too loud and congested. One of the absolute best amenities is the free shuttle that will take you anywhere around the Breck Village. Need to go to the grocery store? Take the shuttle. Want to be dropped off right at the Peak 8 ski lift? Take the shuttle. Want to head downtown and have a few drinks and not have to worry about driving back in the snow? Take the shuttle! It was never more than a few minutes wait and the shuttle drivers were great! The next best thing about GTL is that all of their employees are extremely nice and helpful. They never said "No" to anything and went out of their way to be accommodative to any/all of our needs. Next, the pool and hot tubs were great! Adults and kids swam every day and it never felt crowded. The room and all of the facilities were always clean, never had any strange smells, etc. The room that we stayed in was very nice. Like I said before, it doesn't feel brand new - but the TVs are all flat-screen, the countertops were granite, the master room had a HUGE jetted tub plus a shower with dual shower heads and had been updated nicely. The room also had plenty of cookware, utensils, dishes, etc. The only area that we could complain about was that the wi-fi wasn't very good - it kept dropping and was generally slow. This wasn't too big of a deal, since we were on vacation, but a place like this should have better wi-fi. Overall, we had a great vacation and I would highly recommend Jayme and GTL to other travelers."

  • Great Family Reunion/Vacation Home

"Well maintained spacious home, perfect for our 4 children and their spouses along with 4 grandchildren ages 4 to 10. We too, had a problem with the oven, which apparently is caused by a component that is easily dislodged and prevents the door from closing all the way. The owner was very responsive in getting assistance to us. Mobile phone service was very iffy, available from certain spots on the wrap around balcony with resulting time delays in transmitting text messages. Everything else was as described. The layout was perfect for separation and togetherness. I would enthusiastically recommend to friends and if returning to Breckenridge area with same group, would rent this house again."

  • Best house to Rent

"MTN Majesty: What a fabulous week! Aunt Molly treated the family to a week away in the Mountain Majesty. We traveled from Saratoga Springs, NY; Raleigh, NC; West Hartford, CT; and Denver, CO. We luckily had great travel weather up and then it immediately started snowing! We Got 30"+ in the first 3 days! The First day a few of us hit the slopes and we spent the day unpacking and enjoying the house. We ordered Fatty's Pizza and played pool! Sunday we hit the slopes again. 4 fresh inches. Coming home to make Lunch (Grill Cheese and tomato soup) tasted so great! A few of the non-skiers took the gondola up to Peak 8 to enjoy some beverages and check out the scene! Pre-dinner was a soak in the hot tub in blizzard like conditions followed by a great meal at Blue River Bistro! Monday AM we woke up to 16" of Fresh snow! Two of us hit the Slopes in the AM and then the family headed over to Good Times Adventures for Dog Sledding! What an amazing time! It was still snowing, the Scenery was gorgeous and the dogs were so great. We all took turns mushing and riding through the woods. It was amazing! We recommended it for everyone! Monday night we had some home-cooked dinner at home and played some games! Tuesday we woke up to another 13" of snow! Next we went back to 'Good Times' for a snow mobiling adventure! It was a perfect blue bird day. We took the two hour tour and had an amazing time. The views at the top of the Continental Divide were breathtaking. The trip was so fun! It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve day! We finished the night with an amazing dinner at Hearthsone. Everything was so delicious. Thursday- Merry Christmas! We woke up to a pile full of presents and had a great morning exchanging gifts and having breakfast. The skiers hit the slopes for a couple hours and had a delicious home-cooked Christmas ham and dinner. We took the 'Bonanza Trail' to downtown at night. So glad to have discovered those right across the street from the house! Even with all the snow, the trail was packed down and made for such an easy walk to town- dropping you off on Washington St. It is Saturday now, we are all just packing up and super sad to be leaving! It was an amazing week here in the mountains. The house had everything we could imagine, the town is a treat, and well, the beauty of Colorado is just amazing! We all Loved it and can’t wait to come back! Thanks so much for sharing your home, it is a slice of heaven! - Amanda, Aaron, Molly, Susan, Molly, and Phil>"
